T O P I C R E V I E WaugentierI am somewhat confused about the qualities of the ninth house. I have no planets there in my natal, but the man I'm after has his Mercury, Venus, and Sun all in my 9th house. What does this mean? He does love discussing philosophical and "deep" topics with me. That's all I have observed or can understand about these placements. I guess I am most confused by his Venus being there.------------------Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moonNo man is free who is not master of himself.Heart--Shaped CrossHouse of the Higher MindYou play teacher to each other.augentierHow does Venus impact the "higher mind"?------------------Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moonNo man is free who is not master of himself.Heart--Shaped Cross http://faculty.frostburg.edu/phil/forum/EduRita.htm http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/educating_rita/ Seeing Stars 7.21I have Jupiter blue moonVenus impacting the higher mind ~> art, music, poetry? I would say, how I feel this play out is an intense love of getting to the root of the mysteries of the world. I certainly do think a lot about questions with open-ended answers. Merc, Venus, MC in conjunction, jupi, neptune all in my 9th house. I have Sun at 29degress 24 of Scorp, so it is very close to the 9th house and conjunct my neptune at 2 degrees Sag.I don't know if I have a lot of spiritual growth or not, I still get angry, sad, happy like everybody else, no detachment to the ups and downs of life.So what does my loaded base do?SagSunI have a Mercury, Jupiter and Uranus in Sagittarius in the 9th. I guess you could say that I am a very idealistic person with a fondness for foreign cultures. I am not exactly interested in philosophy ... frankly, I don't really give a damn about questions like "Where do we come from and where are we going to?". But I do think that the world could be a much better place if people just were different. augentierSarai & starrym - I did not realize/remember that the 9th house is ruled by Sag. My mercury, moon, saturn, and uranus are all in Sag. His ASC and uranus are in Sag. But my 9th house is in Cancer and his is Leo.And it's his 8th house (Cancer) Sun, Merc, and Venus that fall in my 9th. I like it. Jupiter is at home in the 9th, which for me represents an expansive mind, but unfortunately, not a lot of travel to foreign lands. As reflected by Cancer's rulership of my 9th, I do best when I'm close to home (so far; Pluto conjunct my natal moon near the end of H2 may change all that). I also haven't published nearly as much as I'd like to, but hopefully that will change as well.As for the original poster's question, though—his Sun in your 9th...does he have the potential to make you famous (or is he a known "famous" person who could expand your horizons, so to speak)?------------------"You stay young as long as you can learn, acquire new habits and suffer contradiction."
