T O P I C R E V I E WappleberryI noticed the May 20 2012 solar eclipse is at 0* Gemini. I have a friend whose moon is exactly there, with his sun at 8*Sag opposite, along with a few other major planets conjuncting. This eclipse is going to kick his butt isn't it?Ceridwen quote:Originally posted by appleberry: This eclipse is going to kick his butt isn't it?Not at an orb of 8 degrees. The wider the orb, the more subtle the effects. And personally I would not even count 8 degrees.Ecclipses are basically Transit-charts, and so I am using my usual 3 degree orb for that (while still noticing those conjunctions, oppositions up to 5 degrees, but after that I think the effects will be too subtle to be felt UNLESS his Sun is within 5 degree orb to another planet which conjuncts the ecclipse with an orb of under 3 degrees).FaithThis is my son's 2nd birthday, I hope he likes his birthday party okay.teaselI hadn't even thought about eclipses this year. This one is exactly conjunct my Moon, and my Venus/South Node are right there, too. Time is going to fast. :/ teaselFaith, I had a New Moon on my birthday in 2010, and although I wasn't so happy in general that year, up until June, I was keeping it together, and that Sun/Moon conjunction in Aries was LOVELY. I was glad that I felt happy on that day, because I hadn't expected to.Moon conjunct Sun is generally positive. appleberryWell his sun is 8* opposite. But, his MOON is a 0* conjunction (00'04 apart)... That is what I am mostly wondering about. It's in his 8th house. He's had an incredibly tough year with most of his personal planets in Sag and Gem and all the Sag/Gem eclipses over the last year. (As well as Saturn crossing his Asc.) He has been very immature however so hopefully all of these eclipses and Saturn will transform him beneficially I guess Solars are supposed to be good overall though so maybe May 20 will mark a new beginning for him. teaselMine is conjunct the cusp of my eighth house, too. Some might think that I have been incredibly immature, but I was literally falling apart. I used to be very mature, and I feel very different now - although I try.Saturn, the eclipses, Pluto, etc - they don't always sort out. Sometimes they just blow things apart and leave them that way. (Sorry, but that's how I feel.)FireWire quote:Originally posted by Faith:This is my son's 2nd birthday, I hope he likes his birthday party okay.Wow.So, this made me emotional. And I said "awww."What a sincere, honest and beautiful thing to hear a parent say. The little guy is 2, he probably likes anything fun, with shiny things and sugar. And then the parent is like "I hope he likes his birthday okay." This made my heart so warm! I like you! CeridwenI think an ecclipse being conjunct either Sun or Moon or the nodal axis will be extremely important. And exactly conjunct Moon? WOW!Forget about the Sun, it will probably trigger his Moon big time.Since it is the Moon the change / effect will be predominantly on his emotions, his habitual responses to things. It would be interesting to see how the Moon is aspected in his natal chart (esp. aspects within 3 degrees); those aspects will be "woken up".Also check in what natal house the Moon falls, and where she rules. These are keyareas that will be effected by the ecclipse.A solar ecclipse is a special New Moon, and as all New Moons this is a time of New beginning, though it is magnified with this being an ecclipse. Whatever seed is being layed during this time, it might have long lasting consequences in his life. This ecclipse is in a way connected to the one taking place on 25th november 2011, which was on 2°37 Sagittarius.Maybe reflect if something significant, relating to the Moon in his chart, happened around that time.appleberryNov 25... Well I dunno the exact details but I believe that is around the time that his present ex gf tried to kill herself or at least threaten to (borderline personality disorder)... He broke up with her on the 28th I think...So his moon (3* orb or less) is quincunx Saturn (exact) and Pluto (2*), and semi sextiles his POF (1*).The moon is in his 8th but rules his 10th. It will be very interesting to see how things go. I see his moon also Trines Mars but by 8*, opposes Uranus and Jupiter both by 5*, conjuncts both Chiron and vertex by 5*, and sextiles MC by 5* ... appleberryOh... And his north node is at 4* Cancer... Will it be affected because its in Cancer?Faith quote:This made my heart so warm! I like you! Thank you, I like you, too! And teasel, thank you for your reassurance. Maybe he'll really LOVE this birthday! Still_HopefulMay solar eclipse will conjunct my DC. I am wondering what will happen?appleberrybumpLava Flower0* Gemini is my part of spirit Still_Hopefulbump
