T O P I C R E V I E Wnext to neptuneI have noticed one thing about these people… they are just able to hold people in any conversation. You can talk with these people forever if that is what they want. They can hypnotize in a way that no gemini, sagittarius, whatever understands. These people are so mystical and interesting that they can keep the conversation flowing for hours. But is there some other aspect in a natal chart that can make the same effect? I don't think so, but what do you think? next to neptuneI'm only talking about 1 to 1 dialogs by the waynove731Err, maybe it's just because I have the opposition, but on a personal level, I actually really disagree. I obviously have no way of knowing if what I write online keeps people captivated ( ), but offline, I find it exceptionally difficult to get (and keep) most people's attention long enough for them to actually listen to what I have to say. Sometimes it feels like I'm invisible...unless you're a wacko, of course. Then I'm the only thing you see! (but you still don't want to hear what I have to say, haha)It's one of the most frustrating aspects of my life. I can't think of anything else that would indicate this, either. I think that the fact that Pluto is the ruler of my 3rd house might play into this a bit, though.------------------Sun -> AriesMoon -> SagittariusAscendant -> VirgosomethingexcellentI wouldn't use hypnotic or mystical to describe how we talk... Otherwise uh...yeah I guess we are pretty good at holding a conversation. I myself am curious and easily interested, so I don't mind talking about whatever. Then again I have strong Mercury in general too so eh!dadooI have noticed that it's impossible to make me change the subject if I don't want to.You can sidetrack to avoid a particular topic for 2 hours, 2 days or 2 weeks if you want, once you're done I'll go "Concerning what we were talking about earlier..."Apparently it can be annoying. It might be a little more subtle than that.Pluto is not just about knowing, it's about revealing. So if I feel that the person who's talking has not been thinking thoroughly about the subject, or is hiding something to me or, even worse, to him/herself, I just can't let it go.I don't do it consciously, it's just that I can't get the feeling that the conversation is over until some kind of truth has been uncovered.Edit:It's a lot about asking the right questions, I think. Mercury is my Sun and Moon ruler. I only talk when i find the other person worthy or i wont open my mouth. My talking (in person) has been described as hypnotic. I do have heavy Neptune in my chart, too. I usually choose strong words even for mundane stuff. For example, my s.o. ( a Scorpio) complained yesterday that the TV distracted him from doing his job, and i asked - "Do you want me to terminate it?". He started laughing.."oh gosh, the words you say", he giggled. "Yes, lets terminate the tv!" LolOrangeDpPeterPanMercury opposite pluto and conjunct mars and asc, which pluto also opposes. in taurus.I agree with the thing about not wanting to change topics unless you feel that you have found out what you wanted.I'm allot like that aswell i hate when others try to change subjects when i'm trying to get some info. I think mars enhances pluto allot tough as atleast my conjunction tends to let me controll the conversation easily so. Sometimes i just bluntly ask "why don't you want to talk about (topic) are you hiding somethin?" jokingly ofcourse but it usually helps as it lightens things up a bit and it shows them excactly what you want.
