I have noticed one thing about these people… they are just able to hold people in any conversation. You can talk with these people forever if that is what they want. They can hypnotize in a way that no gemini, sagittarius, whatever understands. These people are so mystical and interesting that they can keep the conversation flowing for hours.

But is there some other aspect in a natal chart that can make the same effect? I don't think so, but what do you think?

Err, maybe it's just because I have the opposition, but on a personal level, I actually really disagree. I obviously have no way of knowing if what I write online keeps people captivated ( ), but offline, I find it exceptionally difficult to get (and keep) most people's attention long enough for them to actually listen to what I have to say. Sometimes it feels like I'm invisible...unless you're a wacko, of course. Then I'm the only thing you see! (but you still don't want to hear what I have to say, haha)

It's one of the most frustrating aspects of my life. I can't think of anything else that would indicate this, either. I think that the fact that Pluto is the ruler of my 3rd house might play into this a bit, though.

I wouldn't use hypnotic or mystical to describe how we talk...

Otherwise uh...yeah I guess we are pretty good at holding a conversation. I myself am curious and easily interested, so I don't mind talking about whatever. Then again I have strong Mercury in general too so eh!

I have noticed that it's impossible to make me change the subject if I don't want to.
You can sidetrack to avoid a particular topic for 2 hours, 2 days or 2 weeks if you want, once you're done I'll go "Concerning what we were talking about earlier..."

Apparently it can be annoying.
I dunno, I just want to know the end...

I don't think it's the same online, or I don't know…how is your mercury doing besides from this? Do you have mercury/saturn aspect or something? And what house is your mercury in?

Ahaaa! This is exactly what I was hoping to read! I guess this is what this aspect is all about…it's about wanting to reveal everything about the subject, any subject you find interesting. So if you meet someone who holds a lot of info you want to know about you can keep them interested too because the magnetism of pluto maybe?

It might be a little more subtle than that.
Pluto is not just about knowing, it's about revealing.
So if I feel that the person who's talking has not been thinking thoroughly about the subject, or is hiding something to me or, even worse, to him/herself, I just can't let it go.
I don't do it consciously, it's just that I can't get the feeling that the conversation is over until some kind of truth has been uncovered.
Edit:
It's a lot about asking the right questions, I think. You won't get anywhere with "Oh realllyyyyyy??"

No Saturn contacts...I have a trine to Uranus/Neptune in Capricorn, though, and sextiles to Venus in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer. A tight square to my NN in Aquarius, as well.

My Mercury is in Taurus in the 8th.

But you can't reveal anything if you didn't have the power of getting people to tell you what you need to know? I think pluto is fascinating cause it not only makes you wan't to reveal what is secret, but it also makes people wanting to actually tell you their secret?

Sextiles to venus, that usually makes it easy for people to express themselves… the sun would be better though… But I think the only thing that explains could be the taurus mercury in 8th and not the aspects… I noticed that taurus mercuries can be a bit "slow" and 8th house is the scorpio house, maybe that's why you are more quiet… But I do think you have some darker interests in highly extreme topics maybe even the occults, death, life etc…
But that doesn't explain why you would feel invisible, it must be something else in your chart and maybe it is simply just something you feel, not how it really is

Maybe not, the other aspects to mercury would tell about that,,, jupiter/mercury would make it more light-hearted and funny eh?

It's just that I feel deeply that things can't go right if there are lies/mistakes hidden somewhere. So it's not because I absolutely want to prey into other people's business. If you won't mention something because it's personal, I'll never go there myself. And obviously, I won't repeat anything. So I think that trust is also part of what makes people comfortable.
Most of the time, I find that people are interested in getting some help with the digging, be it about their childhood or their dissertation subject.

Not true in my case. I sometimes know when to say and what to say, but I definitely can't hold a conversation for long.

I believe the most aries mercuries are very short and sharp when talking…they are rarely the small-talking types, they like to get to the point very fast?

Mercury conj Pluto here, exactly.
Mercury is my Sun and Moon ruler.
I only talk when i find the other person worthy or i wont open my mouth. My talking (in person) has been described as hypnotic. I do have heavy Neptune in my chart, too. I usually choose strong words even for mundane stuff. For example, my s.o. ( a Scorpio) complained yesterday that the TV distracted him from doing his job, and i asked - "Do you want me to terminate it?". He started laughing.."oh gosh, the words you say", he giggled. "Yes, lets terminate the tv!" Lol

Mercury opposite pluto and conjunct mars and asc, which pluto also opposes. in taurus.

I agree with the thing about not wanting to change topics unless you feel that you have found out what you wanted.

I'm allot like that aswell i hate when others try to change subjects when i'm trying to get some info. I think mars enhances pluto allot tough as atleast my conjunction tends to let me controll the conversation easily so. Sometimes i just bluntly ask "why don't you want to talk about (topic) are you hiding somethin?" jokingly ofcourse but it usually helps as it lightens things up a bit and it shows them excactly what you want.
