But I also don't think we should be calling people "alien invaders" like they are from outer space. This forum is "global unity", right? Many of them are fleeing from dangerous situations in their original countries; I think it's best not to call other people names like we are 5 years old. I am grateful to have been born in the United States. Some are not so lucky with their life situations.teasel quote:Originally posted by sleepthan:I think taxpayer funded public housing should prioritize taxpayers (American citizens)... Hello. shuraI dont say "alien invaders" because, yes, the average pop culture addled mind would conjure images of spaceships in response. Curious what term you would suggest?I'm not sure every American should or would consider themselves fortunate to be born here. Does a teenage black kid in Detroit consider himself fortunate? If he were able to immigrate to a less violent, oppressive nation, would he not? Is it better to live in south side Chicago or Guatemala?

A bit of sanity in this forum. Hello.
I'm not sure every American should or would consider themselves fortunate to be born here. Does a teenage black kid in Detroit consider himself fortunate? If he were able to immigrate to a less violent, oppressive nation, would he not? Is it better to live in south side Chicago or Guatemala?
