Kalifornia demorats:
Imagine opposing requirements that those who receive taxpayer funded public housing be American citizens...not illegal alien invaders.

PENNY STARR
17 May 2019

A new proposed rule that the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued earlier this week to enforce existing law requiring those who receive public housing to be U.S. citizens gained the ire of Democrats, including Barack Obama’s former Labor Secretary Hilda Solis.....

I think taxpayer funded public housing should prioritize taxpayers (American citizens)... But I also don't think we should be calling people "alien invaders" like they are from outer space. This forum is "global unity", right? Many of them are fleeing from dangerous situations in their original countries; I think it's best not to call other people names like we are 5 years old.
I am grateful to have been born in the United States. Some are not so lucky with their life situations.

I dont say "alien invaders" because, yes, the average pop culture addled mind would conjure images of spaceships in response. Curious what term you would suggest?

I'm not sure every American should or would consider themselves fortunate to be born here. Does a teenage black kid in Detroit consider himself fortunate? If he were able to immigrate to a less violent, oppressive nation, would he not? Is it better to live in south side Chicago or Guatemala?
