Most are made from dried Herbs.There are a few exceptions.
The fresh ones contain water, you don't want that.
You might get away with the orange peels, as they are so acidic. Don't know, I never tried them.
Yes, you do shake them every day, I shook them all whenever I would pass. Three times a day would be good.
I would just have a line of Mason Jars on an Eastern facing window-sill. The warmth helps them to infuse. It takes about ninety days. Then you strain it.
Normally you do this to get oils for making Salves/Cremes. Only certain ones are strong enough to create a scent.
