T O P I C R E V I E WVestasLightI've been studying astrology for nearly 19 yrs. And I've been reading these forums for at least 3 yrs now, but haven't really posted until today. I thought it was time to make a small contribution. While this is by NO MEANS an official study, I just happened to come across a little formula over the years that seems to indicate a significant relationship. (This includes friendships and romantic partnerships.) These are relationships that had a great impact on each other, or ones that you will remember 20 years down the road. They weren't necessarily long lasting, but they definitely were significant in some way. I call it "The Magic Trio"... Saturn and either Sun or Moon: any aspect, including minors, within 5 degrees.Pluto and either Sun or Venus (but often times both)Nodes - Vx: any aspect within 5 degrees or so but most often it was a Trine or Square. (Note: this one seemed to be the critical deciding factor)It is present in about 98% of the charts. So, I am curious what you guys find if you take a peek through your charts? you are really forced to revisit your own defense mechanisms and learn a great deal about what intimacy really means….exactly because the longing is so strong and it suddenly gets to your conciousness what your are lacking. There is also a compulsion to control the emotional expression of the partner - but by hurting and failing that, you really learn you have to let go, appreciate and support.It creates a strong karmic bond, the tension for me plays out even more than with Sun/Saturn hard aspects, because Moon/Saturn are opposites by nature….and in a way made to learn from one another.
Pluto/Venus ->
having it in a Double Whammy, one trine and one sextile.A very good aspect in my experience, creates the passion you need to be deeply in love and wishing to be transformed by these feelings
Pluto/Sun ->
having a trine, can feel a little frightening because the two energies are so strong for themselves….might be too stressful in hard aspects and could create anger
North Node opposite Vertex or conjunct Anti-Vertex ->
the relationship feels extremly fated and offers a strong possibility for self transformation in an intimate way
I would agree that these aspects don't tell anything about the length of the relationship and transformation is always out of the comfort zone……Sometimes I curse everything and wish I could just leave it and have my peace again.But I can't because I have the feeling it's important to stay for there is so much I can receive, knowlegde about my self and my emotions…..

Okay, so. Yun. It's pretty much a consensus that a 10° conjunction (really, nothing beyond 6° or so) is felt between VENUS and PLUTO. And I am inclined to agree.
However ...
I swear to you that I not only feel his PLUTO conjunct my VENUS (9°), but powerfully. This is actually quite bothersome; I can't locate the cause. There's no parallel. It can't be accounted for in another system. It's just and merely his PLUTO 9° conjunct my VENUS.
Lately, however, I came to hypothesise the following:
I might have mentioned my VENUS is 12H; and all the expected traits apply: reclusive lonerdom with a propensity for contemplative serenity and reflection over the usual Venusian pursuits. Now, it's just below the horizon, by a touch under 2°. Were his PLUTO much nearer, it'd be in it. Chillin' with Venus. 'Read any good books lately? Queen to Rook 5.'
Exhilarating stuff. (Well, I happen to find it quite charming, but, hello! 12H Virgo VENUS!)
But it isn't there. It's just enough away from there to be 8° past the horizon, in my 1H. Well, I've gotta say ... 12H planets are a bit Arthur Dent-ish. They're very to themselves, going about their business, managing pleasantly on their own.
What if big, powerful influence comes in through the 1H -- and is still in orb of the 12H? Isn't that a bit like Ford Prefect going on about the world ending and what-not? Wouldn't it kinda mean big -- but not necessarily unpleasant -- things?
It's just my musing. I'm still trying to find why on earth I feel it so damned strong.

To be honest, I've been doing astrology for quite some time myself, but I haven't noticed Sun/Pluto to be significant, it can be a challenging aspect. Venus/Pluto, yes
NOTE: in the end , it depends on the relationship theme one has in their natal. If Pluto/Sun is needed in relationships, it will be there.
