T O P I C R E V I E WAmi AnneCommunication is really “where it is at”. You may have a bikini model, number ten girlfriend, but if you can’t talk, when the newness wears off, you have nothing. Communication is the key to all relationships, really, Some relationships may have a purpose such as a business thrust. Some may have a purpose such as patient/doctor or parent/ child. These external contingencies may keep the relationship afloat. However, the relationship will never be satisfying or emotionally close. It would simply fuffil a stated purpose. Let’s look at some aspects for good communication and why.1. Moon trine MoonThis aspect is an EMOTIONAL simpatico. To me, it is the best aspect in synastry, bar none. These two people can look across the room and know what the other is thinking. Have you ever had a friend with whom everything is funny? Moon trine Moon synastry has such a strong simpatico that shared humor is effortless. I have a friend with whom I cannot look across the room if I am at a funeral or someplace where I cannot laugh. There is such a sense of oneness that the other person’s knows one’s most inappropriate thoughts. This aspects seems quite rare. Treasure it in whichever relationship in which you are fortunate enough to possess it. If your romantic synastry has this, you can, likely, work out most of your problems, in my opinion.2. Mercury Trine MercuryThis would enable an easy flow of communication which would me more of in the intellectual realm than in the emotional. If a synastry had this plus a close Moon synastry, then there would be both a head and a heart component. Mercury trine Mercury would be perfect for business partners or intellectual collaborators of any sort such as Lennon and McCartney.3. Moon Trine MercuryThe Mercury person would help the Moon person understand his own emotions by being able to form them into verbal expression. The Moon person would have an intuitive understanding of how the Mercury person thinks, as well. This is a very nice aspect for any relationship.4. Moon trine PlutoThis form of communication is not linear. It is not rational, may be a better way to say it. There is a deep intuitive understanding between these two natives. The Pluto person sees the naked rawness of the Moon person’s emotions. The Moon person cannot hide her heart from the Pluto person. This aspect is more of a visceral communication than an intellectual one. It is more of a visceral communication than even a heart one. It is a form of emotional nakedness that is hard to describe. If you watch the charts and see the workings of this, you will understand what I mean.5. Venus trine VenusThis aspect does not make for good communication, per se. It makes for a similarity in values. It can, also, make for a similar sense of humor. Values are very important in marriage. Values include the the importance placed on fidelity in marriage, the important placed on children and if one spends or saves money. Dissimilar values in marriage can pose many problems, so checking the relationship between mutual Venus’ may help avert issues.6 Pluto Trine MercuryThe Pluto person will understand the intellectual realms of the Mercury person as if the Mercury person is unmasked. The Mercury person will feel he can have no secrets from the Pluto person.7. Saturn Trine SaturnThese people will have a similar outlook on the world. They would have a similar outlook on the manner in which one navigates life, particularly with respect to responsibilities. They will support the growth and maturity of the other.8. Jupiter Trine MercuryThe Jupiter person will help the Mercury person have more confidence in how she expresses herself.9. Mercury conjunct the North NodeIn this synastry, the Mercury person will bring the Theme of communication to the relationship, making if a focal point for the duration of the relationship.10. Mercury conjunct the ICThe IC is a deeply vulnerable point in the chart. The Mercury person will help the IC person to express herself at a deep level. The IC person will feel deeply understood by the Mercury person.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? ElysiaWell, also -- Mercury - Sun (Conjunction, trine, sextile): Can't get enough of talking to each other. Very tuned into each other's voices and mindset. They can literally hear each other across a crowded room, even if they're soft-spoken, quiet talkers. Mercury - Pluto (conj, trine, sextile): I wouldn't discount the sextile at all. It gives such an effortless link. You find yourself sharing shocking revelations with each other pretty casually, like it's a matter of course. With the conjunction, there's a palpable awareness of the secrets being shared, and the conversations rarely stay "light" - can get overwhelming for air or fire mercuries, so probably not everyone's cup of tea. Mercury - Neptune (conj, trine, sextile): Can have whole conversations without words. Also the "finishing each other's sentences" type. These two can create a little dream world together in their imagination. Have you ever had those conversations that belong in Neverland and make no sense whatsoever, except to you two? That's merc-neptune. With the hard aspects there might be some obfuscation of truth, but that's another story. Merc-Jupiter (conj, trine, sextile): Plenty of laughs with this one! Everything is ten times funnier when you two are together. Jupiter is mercury's clown. Inside jokes are big with this pair. Jupiter buoys Mercury and is very enthusiastic about Mercury's ideas (even though they might not be all that great). Merc-Venus (conj, trine, sextile and in this case, even the square and opposition to some extent): They love the sound of each other's voice, these two can talk for hours. Not necessarily in a heavy Merc-Pluto way, but very pleasant nonetheless. Venus loves Mercury's intellect and their way of expressing themselves. Mercury loves feeling *truly* heard, and appreciated. This is the couple most likely to write little love notes to each other. And also most likely to have a lot of affectionate pet-names for each other. Even mundane, everyday communication is sweeter when you have a Merc-Venus aspect. Merc-Eros (conj mostly, but trine & sextile also, if close): Umm yeah, this one. "We're talking about the weather, why are you blushing?"No matter what they might be talking about, the conversation itself feels so sexy. Likely to be turned on by each other's voices, or by talking to each other. Merc-Mars (conj, trine, sextile): If you have a mercury that doesn't shy away from confrontation, the liveliness of merc-mars might be a good fit for you. They can have quite a few angry squabbles, but it's not dull for sure! And when they do agree on something, they make a dynamic team, as mars helps put mercury's ideas into action. ChildofVenusDoes anybody know?CapriciousCapricornMay I ask about Mercury-Pluto opposition. It's not mentioned among the aspects so I guess it's not that great.. I have this with a guy, I'm the Pluto. The thing is both our Mercuries overlay each other's 8th house and in his natal chart he has Mercury Pluto opposition.Could anyone who knows here give a short interpretation please? I would really like to know because apart from mutual (DW) Sun Mercury trine in synastry and that Mercury Pluto opposition we don't have any of all those wonderful aspects Ami Anne described. Oh, forgot, yes we do! Moon Moon trine Other than that the synastry is amazing really.Elysia^ I can attempt one. In case of the opposition, Pluto might want to uncover all of Mercury's secrets and/or try to mould their way of thinking in some way. Mercury might be uncomfortable with all the probing - but it's good for psychological growth together, in that Mercury may end up confronting issues they've pushed under the rug themselves. Elysia quote:Originally posted by ChildofVenus:What about Moon conjunct Mercury in composite? I'd say this means you guys are sensitive to/careful of each other's moods, and try to protect each other's feelings (verbally at least).
