I own Star Signs but the book's not with me at the moment. If the added letters are not right, I will redo the lexigram.By Linda's rules, yes you may add letters sparingly which are not found in the source. However, it will not be a real Lexigram.Additionally as I have explained below;you can try and force any meaning you wish, but if those words cannot be found from the source, you are in essence creating a falsehood. It is akin to an astrologer or Tarot reader, willy nilly making things up, telling you all sorts of fabulous things, details and forth, which are totally not true! Why would anyone want to create in essence;a lie? A falsehood? As you can see, via my reworkings of your creation;the added meaning you arrived at by using letters not found within the source;RADICALLY CHANGED THE MEANING FROM WHAT WAS IN ACTUALITY THERE!I cannot stress enough of that vital and valid importance when it comes to Lexigramming! quote:Any advice or comments appreciated.Thank you! !I shall try to help! Please do not take offense! And feel free to ask any questions!Your original firstly: quote:BOOK OF REVELATIONSA BOOK OF LATINIT LIFTS A VEILREVEALS TO ONEA FALSE STARA VAIN, VILE REBELSTARVE(D) OF LOVESAT(A)N TRAVELS, TALKS TO NAIVE ONESAT LAST I SEE A BROOK, A FOREST OF LOVEA FRES(H) SLATE FOR AL(L)TO BREAK STALE LIVES, TO SAVE (U)STO LIVE AS EVETO RATION ONESELFIT'S NOT TOO LATEIT'S BET(T)ER LATE, NOT NEVER!T(H)E ARTIS(T) OF (C)REATION IS RISEN(H)IS LOVE IS FOREVE(R)Here it is with un-allowed words removed;now it is a LEXIGRAM!Not very good, but now a Lexigram nonetheless! quote:BOOK OF REVELATIONSA BOOK OF LATINIT LIFTS A VEILREVEALS TO ONEA FALSE STARA VAIN, VILE REBELSTARVE OF LOVE (my note:leave the D off starved and can use)TRAVELS, TALKS TO NAIVE ONESAT LAST I SEE A BROOK, A FOREST OF LOVEA SLATE FORTO BREAK STALE LIVES, TO SAVETO LIVE AS EVETO RATION ONESELFIT'S NOT TOO LATE (My note:ITS is fine because you can get IT IS)IT'S BET LATE, NOT NEVER! LEXXprincess_sparrs {{{hugs}}}Thank you for understanding! quote:What I wanted to look up was the lexigrams where Linda added letters. I'm sure there were many, but it may have just been a plural (S) or two. Linda added quite a bit and radically changed the true meaning of her creations, most of which were not actual Lexigrams.Like true Anagrams, Lexigrams must follow the rule of no added letters and or frequency of letters which cannot be found from within the source.Otherwise the resulting creation is not only neither a Lexigram nor Anagram, but at best, is poetry. An example here of one of Linda's creations which illustrates the points I have made.Druids Of Stonehenge~A Re-VISION~ quote:It is tempting for me to break the rules, because I like the lexigram to flow otherwise it just looks like a bunch of words, as though I was doing a word puzzle or something.I might stick to writing poetry I totally understand! However, it would not be a Lexigram, but yes, possibly poetry, if you added words/letters.And yes, it is very hard at times to create a Lexigram! But adding letters/words which are not from the source, renders the resulting creation as not being a Lexigram. quote:I knew "it's" was ok, and I did check twice that every letter I used (except the brackets) were in the phrase.Thank you for understanding the rules of contraction usage! quote:Ok, so there is not supposed to be an S.
