PixieJane | I don't know how many times I catch a thread with a response to me and because I'm tired or don't have enough time or whatever I can't post right then and so I'll save what I have and put it into draft until I can polish it, find links, etc. And then after that work I come back a few hours later and find the thread locked! And it just happened again. I was gonna post it yesterday but I was tired and thought it needed polishing for maximum clarity AND I thought it would be nice if I provided some links which I was too tired to look up right then (which would also let me shorten my response). So today when I get back to my draft I spend several minutes finding the links. And then deciding it's time to give it its final polish I go back to the thread to reread what I was posting to and connect the responses to the exact statements, I get on LL only to find it locked! I really gotta stop trying to be so clear and doing the work with the links. After all it's not like the people I'm responding to are doing much more than making blanket statements or backing up their assertions either. |
juniperb | Open a new thread to the poster w/the heading subject and add your reply ? BTW, I enjoy and appreciate your well thought out posts and appropriate links. ------------------ We dance around the ring and suppose, but the secret sits in the middle and Knows Robert Frost |

So do I. |
PixieJane | Thanks for letting me know it's appreciated. I don't know how I'll handle it in the future when I've done work on it and realized I'm either too tired or out of time (or should sleep on it before posting). It's very frustrating when that happens, though. I don't think I'll start another thread to continue a locked one. It would probably get locked to and my response wasn't me speaking from the soap box or demanding I be heard (though I did challenge many assertions) but asked questions and invited more info that the other person may very well have (and I'd be curious to learn) and would thus be frustrating if it got locked again. |

I`ve not seen a true confrontational post by you so I felt comfortable suggesting you continue your thoughts in a new thread. I see your point!! ------------------ We dance around the ring and suppose, but the secret sits in the middle and Knows Robert Frost |

Ill tell yea what I can do, Ill rebuild the whole thing on Universal Codes, make sure its stable, then Ill ask RegardesPlatero/Randall to delete or lock the one on DD! Then I can boost the new one back over to DD!
