The Virgo influence is ritualistic - you perform each task every day, with precision and dedication as to insure their service keeps the world running. I don't think they derive much pleasure from it except for the feeling that they're doing their part in the wholesome scheme. I appreciate the unassuming quality and simplicity - because of the elegance it begets. It's lovely. I know more H6 Venuses than Virgo Venuses, though. They can be a bit boring on the surface. They need to thaw. Let loose, break free. You know how ancient priests would get much more interesting after using hallucinogenic herbs? Something like that. I'm other words, they react strongly to a direct, darling approach (Virgo's solar H8 is in Aries) be it a confident individual or drugs. I think that everything is for the young and the beautiful. The exuberance of being young and unapologetic behaviour is not something you'd normally associate with Virgo. That's why you look for Jupiter in their chart. Or heavily aspected Sun. Sorry for the rambling! I don't think the spread is particularly romantic (in the typical sense) but it is empowering in its results. @littlecloud It's something I've noticed. In terms of Virgo's Moon manifestation - the sensuality, efficacy, the physical appearance - it does so much more than Virgo Venus (comparing Moon and Venus representing the symbols of the female archetype). I haven't really delved into the physical aspects of astrology. VenusDiSiriusVirgos aren't compromising, value integrity, run "no debts - emotional or monetary debts" personal philosophy... You learn schizz from them. I noticed there aren't any Wands in the spread. And Cups and Swords don't mesh well. Look at the Ace - ulterior motives? Emperor - that's only one side pushing the matter, controlling it even thwarting it. 9 Cups - 9 Pentacles : it's like an opposition, the same principle, the opposite polarity. Not digression but bit of a practical magic? Maybe, he's your wish come true (the most used 9 of cups interpretation) but in the end he is actually someone who suits you (the rationale regarding the relationship valuation). Does you friend share your views on love? Maybe the cards trigger something different in her. littlecloud Not necessarily - I'd wager in aspects to Asc ruler, rather than Moon's aspects first. Happy New Year, guys. andstuffwell, that story didn't end in a pretty way at all and caused quite a bit of pain. which is why this whole emperor + 9 pents look quite out of place to mesince i don't get the whole becoming stronger business, this is a very surprising spread, i am having a massively hard time reading italso yeah happy new year xxVenusDiSiriusDo another spread, a succinct, 2-3 cards solution. Change the question, you know how that goes... That's of course if your cards allow you to do another same-ish question. Some cards are prickly... (my set is *very* patient with me, and permits a variation or two on the same question) Randall quote:Originally posted by VenusDiSirius:Do another spread, a succinct, 2-3 cards solution. i just somehow tend to misunderstand empowerment as a concept, so relating it to Virgo is even trickier. how is Virgo empowering? how can Virgo qualities be a gift?
how can someone be really in love an only be left with 9 pents as a gift? how does one live on with something as trifling as this? the golden dawn name for 9 pents is "lord of material gain", sometimes simply "lord of gain"
we could almost say her trajectory was from Pisces (9 cups) to Virgo? surely this can only be read as degeneration?
she defs made no money lol
