I have my Saturn Return coming up in August and I'm a Libran whose natal moon is in cancer, so I can tell you I'm really not looking forward to it.

How did you feel after your Saturn Return? Did you finally know what you wanted to do with your life? Or like me, did it make you feel annoyed that you hadn’t achieved the things you’d hoped to have achieved before you were 30? Did your life take another direction? Did you end or start a relationship? It would be good to hear your experience – good or bad.

My dob is 22 October 1978, London, England, 12:30am.

My Saturn Return was the worst time of my life...

My partner ran off with another woman 2 weeks before I turned 28 yo.

But strangely enough, at the same time I started a new job which eventually led me to my career, AND I found myself in a cheap rental situation which helped me get off to a new financial start.

So, as I experienced the most intensely painful situation in my life, the wheels of fateful Saturn were slowly turning me toward to new journey, of which I am living the fruitful benefits now.

My Saturn is in Pisces in 11th house. I turned 28, 7 Aug 1993. I'm not sure what was happening during that time. (I'm not up to reading about transits yet).

Hope I haven't scared you off

My Saturn Return (in Taurus) was great. I got really grounded, practical and organized and I shed everything and everyone that no longer worked in my life. During my Saturn Return I finally found a semblance of peace and serenity after the very long, ugly storm of my mid-20's.

After my Saturn Return I met my husband - we got married 5 months after we met. We've now been married a little over 5 years.

Things I wanted to achieve before 30 ~ well I was hoping to have completed my family. Instead I had several miscarriages. The last of which occured on the final part of my Saturn Return. But it was one of twins, and the other one was a live birth. So by the time Saturn had moved on (and into another sign) that unpleasant part of my life was over and I got to be a mother.

Not to scare you, but here is a list of things that happened to me, all in the few short months following my saturn return:

-My husband left me for his ex-girlfriend
-My baby and I had to move out of our home
-I had quit my job months before so I had no income, and no job
-Went through a divorce
-I became depressed
-My dog of 8 years had to be put to sleep
-My husband got engaged to his new girlfriend, and moved across the country

And all of these things happened suddenly one event after another. I don't think everyone's saturn return is like this though. I think if your life is not on the right track, it flips your world upside down. But if you're headed where you should, it'll just nudge you a bit.

I have to say that although this was a very, very, very painful time, I learned important lessons from each one of these events. I feel like I've been molded into a new person, a better person hopefully.

Good luck, and don't be afraid! Saturn will take you where you need to go.

M Saturn return was the worst period of my life and this transiting Uranus isn't any better. During my Saturn return, I broke up with my wife and went through a lot of other really bad crap that I won't mention here.

But one thing I appreciated my Saturn return for was that I became a LOT more realistic about my life and thingsin it. I pretty much stopped living in the clouds.

And this transiting Uranus is working its ugly Chiron like magic on my life right now. Its sort of like a double checker for Mr Saturn. Meaning, whatever necessary changes I didn't make during my Saturn return, Mr Uranus is cleaning up and making sure I get done what needs to be done.

Looks like Uranus will continue to do its work on me for another year and a half so im trying to make the best of it.

Hey Mysticr,

I remember my Saturn-return only too well.

quote:
Did you finally know what you wanted to do with your life?

Yes - The Saturn-return helped me in immense ways! BUT: It took a whole lot of patience. My advise would be: Take the tasks, tests and obligations as they come - be prepared to struggle hard - and be also prepared to reap the rewards quite a looong time afterwards. But they will SURELY come!

A sketch of my own Saturn-return: I was almost 30 and just about to really "start through" in the career I had chosen until then. I was employed and quite succesful - BUT, but, but: I sensed that this was NOT the right thing for me to do. Despite of all my success I felt very(!) bored, unsatisfied, empty inside.

When Saturn returned exactly I dared to make a decision - and quit that job. ANYBODY, really anybody thought I was crazy.

Nevertheless I changed my job and started a new one under The Saturn-return-influence. I hoped that maybe this new employment would bring back the enthusiasm to my profession/job. In fact, my salary increased immensely with that new (employment) job.

BUT - I tell you something: Crisis increased as much as my salary! I was even LESS content with that new job, it got worse and worse. Again, my outer "success" was undoubtedly there - but inside I got really sad and insecure and aimless.

ALL THAT HAPPENED RIGHT UNDER THE SATURN-RETURN, which took a while due to Saturns retro-movement and all. (I had little of astrology at that time ... I looked it up now, in retrospect.)

So ... I was just 30 and desperate and helpless, as far as my life goals were concerned. I wasn't able to identify with my job and/or the rewards it gave to me - NOT AT ALL! I felt a stranger to my own life!!!! Horrible!!!

And then, almost a year AFTER the Saturn-return was over ... i went after my guts ... and quit that second job as well.

Again: All the people around me called me "nuts".

BUT I had the strong feeling, I was really convicted (!) that I had to to it on my own - that is: work as a self-emplyoed person, on a freelancer basis.

I started that in 2001, one year after the Saturn-crisis had punished me.

And then - another year after!!! - in 2002 I was HUGELY SUCCESFUL with my new, self-employed endeavours. I even was able to home-in some "fame", huge rewards, much, much money, much much attention - and was SO happy with it!!! And this started to be the base for all I have been doing since then. I was very susccesful for about 4 years then. I still am. (The next small crisis-phase came, when Saturn went conjunct my Sun a handful of years after ... small rectifications had been necessary).

Sorry, when this stroy is too long - I only wanted to say: For me, the Saturn-return was heavy work, not an amusing time, very irritating and made me feel insecure - BUT, in its aftermath, the consequences of that crisis led me to whole new frontiers - otherwise I might have refrained from daring to take these steps.

Be brave - let yourself be "tested" for a while. See it like a (sportive) "Duelling Fight" with fate ... if you face that challenge, you'll come out as the champ! It's that ancient image: From coal, under heavy pressure, comes a diamond ;-)

All these posts make me terrified of my saturn return? When is it if I was born in 1985? I hope I don't break up with my boyfriend or quit my job or have people in my life die or anything. Yikes!

Please don't be terrified. I am true to myself as a result of my Saturn Return. I am wiser. I have all that I have ever wanted in life.

Saturn may sacrifice something, but it's always for something BETTER!!!!!!!!
