Man, throw out the synastry book LOL. For starters, we're such a horny bunch that we can all make ANY aspect into something sexual. Second of all, Pluto sextile Mars is extremely sexual. Third of all, synastry is one thing, and what you want is another. It's not as though synastry is going to control where your relationship is going to go. It's just going to show you highlights and so on...like a movie preview. But ultimately, you're the writer and director, and you both star in the production. Synastry's just a critic that writes the reviews ...you'd be making the production either way, teehee IP: Logged |

I've recently checked the synastry aspects with my ex's and current bf and there's usually plenty. Seems like my obsession with a guy lies in how many of his planets my mars is aspecting. Lots of good and bad aspects too.IP: Logged |

you might want to check the midpoints...they do workactivations to these following midpoints: conjunction, opposition, square, semisquare, sesquiquadrate: Venus/Mars (I had a double whammy of Sun=Venus/Mars with an ex) Venus/Pluto (had this with the same ex) also Mars hitting a midpoint involving Venus (except for Saturn...because it tends to restrict) my Mars aspected my ex's Venus/Uranus midpoint her Mars aspected my Venus/Pluto midpoint there were no sexual attraction aspects in the regular astrology chart, but the sexual attraction was very strong, I believe that it was in synchronicity with the sexual attraction midpoint configurations
I agree with somebody that said throw away the synastry book. I have doubts about a lot of the traditional astrology stuff.

agree with what has already been said. Traditional Astrology is often too black and white. In fact I had a venus-mars conjunction with an ex and judging by classic astro literature I should have been nuts about him. Reality looked different - there was very little chemistry. On the other hand the person I was most drawn to I dont have any of the classic links with.I think it has a lot to do with your natal chart what you will find attractive/sexual. If someone's 7th or 8th house is ruled by mercury, I'm sure they will find mercury contacts far more chemistry inducing than someone whose 7th house is ruled by a more sexual planet like mars or pluto. So in any case I would always check out the personal charts first and would have a look how your 5th, 7th and 8th house rulers are aspected in synastry. IP: Logged |

There are so many hints towards sexual attraction. Example:- aspects of Venus, Mars, Pluto, Eros, ASC to each other, also Mars-Sun and Mars-Moon - Venus, Mars, Pluto, ERos in 1st, 5th or 8th house; also Mars and Pluto in 7th house I guess - aspects of ruler of 1st, 5th, 8th house to each other; also ruler of 7th house aspecting ruler of 1st or 8th house - aspects of ruler of 1st, 5th and 8th house aspecting Venus, Mars, Pluto, Eros - midpoints of Venus/Mars, Venus/Pluto, Venus / Eros, Mars / Eros, Eros / Pluto But I agree with Annaf, according to my experience the aspects between houserulers have been the most certain signs, along with progressed aspects of Venus-Mars for example.
I also sahre a Venus-Mars-conjunction with my friend`s husband, and even though that guy and me have always been good friends (we also have Moon conjunct Moon), we never felt sexually attracted to each other; not even before he met my friend (I knew him before her). But his Venus rules his 4th house and Mars rules my 4th house, so actually it even emphasises the Moon-Moon-conjunction between us as the 4th house rulers are also conjunct. A nice placement, but definitely not sexually attractive. So, I would always give a special weight to the ruler-aspects, if the birthtime is known. IP: Logged |

Also Annaf is absolutely right. It definitely depends on your natal chart.I am one of these Mercury-examples, as Mercury is ruler of my 7th house. And every single man I have felt drawn to had strong Mercury-aspects to my chart (interestingly, mostly it was their Mercury, not mine). And if a guy`s Mercury is in the wrong sign (20° - 30° Taurus), he just does nothing to me. I guess I am a Mercury, Moon, Jupiter and Venus girl, as they rule my 7th, 8th, 1st and 5th houses.

DD, these were too many, in my case -Venus conjunct Mars Mars trine Mars Mars sextile Pluto Mars opposite Pluto Venus opposite Pluto Sun square Mars Mars conjunct NN It was too much of something and not enough of something else.. It wasn't my kind of relationship anyways. I'd still like to see a couple of these aspects in synastry, with some action at a Mercury/Mercury and Sun/Moon level. If there are no connections between Sun/Moon/Mercury - it doesn't usually work for me. IP: Logged |

annaf, it was a double whammy, going both ways in the synastry chart, so I was both It was extremely intense. I want to say the sexual attraction had a real emotionalism about it. IP: Logged |
