Hi there! Would anyone like to share their opinions on Shaktipat and or experiences with recieving it? Is it true that anyone can recieve it? Does one who can administer it ever say "un uh, you aren't ready?" lol .......or are they obligated to give it if one is seeking it. IP: Logged |

I have strong opinions on it but would like to hear what others have to say before/or if I speak in depth on this matter. For the moment I will simply say one must not attempt to do or give or receive what they are not ready for. Some think this the fast track to a Kundalini awakening. I feel one cannot skip steps. The one desiring this awakening must know themselves and be true to themselves. They must be honest in how awakened they are ready to become. Great responsibility and commitment comes with these awakenings. This to me is a very serious thing not to be trifled with. ------------------ "Heaven doesn't want me and Hell is afraid I'll take over and start a rehab for the damned!" ~Judgement Must Be Balanced With Compassion~ ~Do Not Seek Wealth From The Suffering, Or The Dire Needs Of Others~ ~Assumption Is The Bane Of Understanding~ ~ if you keep doing what you did, you'll keep getting what you got.~ Everything changes. I LOVE that first picture Fayte Chakra meditations are highly blissful. A very different experience from a mindfulness meditation focusing on the breath or the body which make one feel more "empty"...
I believe shaktipat will only transmit as much energy as the receiver is willing to accept. I don't believe the guru is obligated to anything, but in the presence of a spiritual master who has aligned themselves with tao force, you will FEEL their energy regardless of whether they engage you in a direct transmission of psychic energy. I see the guru as a fountain or channel for this energy. The closer you get to them the stronger you will feel this force. Can anyone testify to this experience? It flows out from them strongly enough such that you will feel the effects. I used to participate in "siddha yoga," which had a guru....one of my friends claimed to have received shaktipat from the guru when the guru touched her third eye. She claimed she cried excessively that night, but it was a beautiful experience. When I engage in chakra meditation I usually pull the energy from the CROWN down. On rare occasion when I feel I am ready, I will engage in a few rectal pulses (not sure what the technical term for this is, but it involves tightening the anus and perennium) to awaken a SMALL amount of kundilini. When I was younger I tried to awaken kundilini in a laying position on my bed...I went into some sort of quasi sleep state where I felt I was being physically ripped apart, it almost felt like a seizure. I don't BS about things like this, so definitely do these things in the guidance of a teacher. IP: Logged |

Is Shaktipat like Reiki? BR, those exercises sound like "pelvic floor exercises" pregnant women are supposed to practice.

wow, thanks for the beautiful pics Fayte, I had hoped you would reply to this thread. I too feel that it shouldn't be taken lightly and hope that as BR stated, shaktipat will only transmit as much energy at the reciever is willing to accept or 'able to handle safely'

Because I didn't want to pay three hundred dollars to go on the retreat.I believe a true spiritual master will give away shaktipat for free. IP: Logged |
