I've read a few descriptions on moon aspecting to a planet. I find similarity to the description for moon square Saturn. In my chart, Saturn square IC.

Would this mean anyone's else planet aspecting to our IC, can be seen as moon aspects.

I can see the similarity but how do we distinguish these two. Hope this is making sense.

The planet is the archetypal energy, and the house is the "experience".

Mine is conjunct Moon in the third. It also enjoys an opposition from Mercury,contra parallel from Neptune/Uranus and a square from Mars.

For a Moon conjunct Ic with Moon in Cancer, I feel very "alien" to my family. I don't connect well with my extended family. And even my immediate family scratches their head sometimes as to what I am all about.

I think this shows the Neptune/Uranus contra parallel aspect on Ic working with the Sun/Neptune conjunction.

I live with my sister and even she thinks I am mysterious.

I don't think I am mysterious though. But I do think that I speak in riddles and only days afterwards do people say "ooooh!!! So that's what he meant"

Aries, you have a lot of aspect to your IC then. You think having moon in Cancer conj IC, you would feel connected with the family.

I think I am starting to get an idea. Our IC would further explain our story and experience of home life/family. It's sort of the same to the moon but not necessarily.

Which leads to my next thought, about the rulership of the IC.

I have Virgo IC, Mercury square Uranus. My family sees me as the weirdo -- even though my brother is an Aquarius sun. He could have the title.

Does the aspects of the IC's rulership can also resonate to the moon/IC's rulership as well but not to that extent?

It is the Moon(beg your pardon)that is more personal I think. With the Ic being the conditioning we are born into.

The Virgo Ic typically suggests one who grows up in an intellectually superior home environment. Or an environment of intellectual snobbery/dissection.

Being "ditzy" or "playing dumb" doesn't bode well with this surrounding. Often times there is a lot of mental sparring with the parents typically very involved in the child's schooling.

If the child has Moon in Cancer for instance,such an environment may lack warmth or emotional care.

So notice how such an individual may spend money to either self nourish or self soothe(Moon in 2nd in Cancer). They may also invest a lot of money in creating a cushy home environment.

They will try to fulfill for themselves the treatment that they expected to receive in childhood.

This will give them emotional security (Cancer in 2nd) which will be one of their pillars of identity.

Mercury/Uranus would make you weird (regardless of your Ic). In that many people around you are boggled about what goes on in your head i.e. the things that tickle your fancy and what you like to talk about.

My Dad has the conjunction in Leo and he is very tall. I wonder if that's also the case with you?

In my case my family and I may disconnect due to my Moon in Cancer being so sensitive and a majority of my Ic being in Leo.

With Moon conjunct the Ic from the 3rd emphasizes an intellectual expression to emotions (Cancer 3rd). I have done that since forever.

But am not sure that my family is on par. They may find my need to talk about feelings "foreign" to them.

My sister has Pluto in 3rd. We talk a great deal though. So I am not completely alone.
