I have noticed that a lot of people are afraid of clowns for some reason. I personally enjoy them, what kind of aspects would indicate fears like this?

I think I read somewhere that coulrophobia is the most common phobia. If not the most, then I'm willing to bet it's one of the most common. Personally, I don't see how an aspect might point specifically to clowns...but maybe there is a phobia aspect/placement?

I have a HORRIBLE fear of clowns. Terrified. I'm probably going to have nightmares tonight just from thinking about it all... oh lord..
The movie "It" by Stephen King did it for me. Saw it very young.. and, was scarred ever since. Plus I saw some story on 'America's Most Wanted' once when I was younger also about some dude who dressed as a clown and was a serial killer. That really added to it.

But, I agree with RedScorp. I don't think there is a specific aspect that could point to a fear of clowns. I think there'd be something in the chart that pointed to phobias altogether. Because I do have a few. Besides clowns, I also have phobias of the regular stuff.. heights, spiders, snakes. And I've always feared getting mauled by a pack of wild dogs. That's a BIG one for me, too. But I'm not scared of dogs in general.. just the wild, roaming packs that attack stuff/people.

Maybe you could get a Tazer. Just zap it once in the doggies' general direction and they'll turn tail and never ever bother you again. It can also have a similar effect on people.

@ topic: Probably hard Mercury-Pluto. Mercury has a multitude of faces, from messenger to thief to jokester, which is similar to clown. And Pluto rules phobias - that is, irrational fears...while Saturn would mark anxiety over failures and perceived shortcomings.

I actually DO keep a Taser in my glovebox just for those situations. But I still have a fear!

Clowns are like one thing that I'm not afraid of, really. I've seen Tim Curry in so many other roles that I'm just not scared of him. I mean, after seeing Rocky Horror, which I saw before "It", I just can't be scared of the guy.

Now if a clown was like a killer in real life, that would be scary, but in movies and stuff, clowns haven't ever really bugged me.

Fears are shown in 12th house. Planets there or 12th house being aspected by some planets shows phobias. I have fear of death, for example. Pluto is in 12th.

What might cause a person to fear clowns?

The fact that clowns look like this:

it could also be the asteroid "red nose" in the 12th house or whatever, but I'm just sayin... ^__^

Yes! My friend has a huge phobia of clowns. She remembers having a bad experience with a clown when she was little.
I've never been phobic to clowns but I don't love them either.. I'm just neutral.

My friend can't stand them. She gets really scared if she sees one. She is a Pisces with Taurus Moon/Pisces Merc - Venus&Mars conj. in Aries.

only JoJo le Clown (pronounced cloon in french), the clown on our local children's show, doesn't scare me.. all the others do! i remember when i was a kid we were at my parents' friends' house and they had tiny ceramic clown figures.. yea they scared the sh!t out of 4 year old me

My ex has Sun, Mercury, & Mars in his 12th and has no fears. Nada.

My friend on the other hand has no 12th House planets and she has a phobia of birds. She has a Moon-Pluto opp. Moon rules her 3rd House, which contains Jupiter & BML. Pluto rules her 6th (small animals). When she was a child (3rd House), her neighbor (3rd House) chased her around the block (3rd House) with a dead bird.

I have Pluto in the 12th, but I'm not that afraid of death. I am, however, afraid of serious and permanent injury/disfigurement/stuff like that, which personally I'd consider worse than death.

It is most likely asteroid Clown (# 3,009,678) or Bozo (#5,601) square your moon or a planet in your 12th house.

I'm petrified of clowns, but only those who sit in big offices and have their necks constricted by their ties around tight shirt collars and their heads up their... <never mind>

Forget Tazers and Pepper Spray. I have the perfect weapon against obnoxious people. It's called the Special Jewish Martial Art. Instead of "Hiyaa," all I have to do is scream "I Sue."
