I was shocked to learn that Whitney Houston has passed away when I opened the MSN news page today… what a sad waste after all the trouble she had with drugs.

Here’s her chart from astrotheme.

There were several things in Houston’s chart that alluded to her strong vocal talents…

She had Pisces rising with Taurus on the 3rd house cusp ruled by Venus in Leo, which sextiles Mars in Libra…. Definitely seems like the chart of somebody who belt out some amazing romantic power ballads… she also had Mercury conjunct Pluto in Virgo in her 7th house… adding power and depth to her voice…

Personally, I’m gonna miss her style of music…. A lot of pop music has become rather lewd these days…. I miss classy love songs… you know songs that are less about sex, and more about love…

Oy that's awful to hear.
She was definitely one of a kind.
RIP, Whitney Houston.

I didn't listen to her music (didn't dislike it; just didn't listen to it) but from what I did hear of her, she was very talented.

I was so shocked to hear about her death; last thing that I expected to hear this morning! She was an icon!

I don't like her natal chart nor her transits at the time of her death. She had Neptune in 8th house in Scorpio (that gives death by drowning. Also Saturn in transit at 29 degrees in Libra in Rx motion and in 8th house. Not good at all. Her natal Mars in 7th gives violence in marriage with her Pisces ascendant ( drugs and alcohol addiction). She was born to be an artist and to be famous but as a person she was born to suffer and to have problems. RIP.

According to the astrotheme chart, the ruler of her 7th (partner) is square Neptune (drugs) which is in her 8th (death).

At least she fulfilled her 5th House NN.

You summed it up well with that one sentence.
Great analysis.

She was so full of vitality. At least her voice will live on forever in the hearts of many.

Just so young to go.
But some stars are meant to have a quick journey in the sky...

I like your analysis as well. And this Mars in Cancer opposite both Moon and Jup in Aries, geez, rich sentimentality expressed in a fiery manner. I love her Leo Venus; she definitely looked like a Leo Venus woman.

What a loss!! She was one of my favourate singers. What a voice! Rich and full, fiery, firm yet soft and warm too. And i loved her style, the way she delivered. Her Pop and Classical type of songs had the good old charm of romance and love. I will miss her. Why do such persons have to suffer?

Yeah 48 that is way too young to pass.

I always liked her song "I will always love you" I remember me and my friend's singing that one in the car and not being completley sober.
and "How Will I Know" rocks!

lol 'Way too young to pass' are those children being slaughtered in Syria.
Let's get real here. They won't even get 48 yrs.

Any death is sad. I witnessed one just this morning at 3am. She was in her 30's she wasn't a child in Syria but she WAS a mother. And I would think that her children and family think that SHE was way too young to pass. It's all relative. They have to grow up without a mom.

Agreed. Despite what I said above ^ I just think the living are also allowed to grieve and be sad and respectful of the soul who has passed.

There seems to be a few freakish interesting similarities between my chart and Whitney's. We are born in the same year, and she is a Leo. My wife is a Leo. Anyway, look at the ASC, the Chiron, the Saturn, the Neptune, the Uranus, the Pluto, the Jupiter. the Vertex and the North Node! Not trying to be morbid, but I'm looking at the chart at face value and I see so many similarities.

Mine too YTA. I'm trying to ignore it! I have prominent Leo, Taurus, Libra and a Pisces Asc (like yourself).

Besides the asc and vertex, all the other planets you listed are slow moving, so it's no surprise they have those similarities =).

Anyway it's pretty sad, hope she RIP.

Neptune in the 8th house, usually death caused by drugs, water, alcohol, unusual circumstances. Neptune is badly aspected has squares to the Sun, Venus and Saturn. Venus square Neptune- indulge in alcohol/ drugs? Sun is opposition to Saturn. Not sure where that plays in the chart. We will just have to wait and see for the autopsy results. If she did drown and was on drugs then that's just very classic of Neptune in the 8th house. It couldn't get any more literal than that.

The speculation and reports have started......and this is freakishly accurate!

And by 'accurate' just mean the general circumstances and 'elements' so speak. Who knows what happened (I am not 'that' interested, so I probably shouldn't fuel the speculation). It is just sad. One of the greatest voices, ever. Once every few decades a voice comes along this great. Sigh...

It's been confirmed Houston's body was found submerged in her hotel room bathtub...she either drowned after taking something or died of whatever it is she took.... we won't know until results come in...

Whitney Houston had Neptune in Scorpio in the 8th house.... Libra is on the cusp of the 8th, ruled by Venus in Leo, in the 6th house. Venus happens to be squaring her Neptune...

it's kind of spooky how well the symbolism fits...

She was taking a bath (Venus in the 6th....the 6th house rules daily rituals like cleaning, organizing and washing our environment and our bodies). And her death was either drowning or drug related, or both... (Neptune in the 8th square Venus the 8th house ruler...Neptune rules the ocean, water, drugs, sleep, and drowning).
