This came up in my other thread. I am so curious if this holds true for you, as it seems to do for me.

Pluto in the Third...

The Third House is about exploring and interacting with the environment, yes? Going out and about and experimenting with everything and everyone, but not exactly staying with one thing...like a Gemini?

If that's the case, then yes. I'm sort of everywhere with everyone.

Doesn't apply to me.

Pluto in the 6th and it's definitely one of the hardest houses for me.

But maybe that's because it's heavily afflicted *and* my NN is there, so I have lots of stuff to learn about it.

Absolutely!

With Pluto, my chart ruler, Scorp asc in the ninth and Uranus in the 9th also, which is part of my very tight, fixed 3 tsquares.

But with Pluto there, I am forever the philosopher, probing to the depths of the human psyche fuled by Scorpio!

With Uranus there, I left organized religion many, many years ago, again to spend a lifetime philosophizing about the enigma of "religion", highly spiritual, for sure, however.

Yes, the 9th rocks for me!

Gunna study it more!

What do you mean by "strong" Ami?
I would think that with Pluto it could go either way.
Because where ever Pluto is you are going to transform or renew in which case you would experience perceived loss or would experience a destruction as it were to move from lower based emotions and actions to higher based emotion and actions and gather the lessons gained within to stay on your path.
If you do not learn the lesson and transform. You maybe "strong" but you would be expressing the strength of what ever Energy the house possessed in a negative form with an attached lower based emotional expression, than in its higher state.
For example...someone trapped in lessons dictated by there charts may not resonate with Astrologies view point of the higher level or positive Energy that a planet in the house would be activating IE: The reading of Pluto in the 2nd.
The answer therein being it would be strong just negatively or positively based on the level of advancement with consciousness.

My Pluto is in the 2nd house...of material security and this has been a life long lesson for me. I have faced every challenge possible that could and did break my connection to material possessions. I have been at the top of society financially and I have been at the bottom.
I've given everything away at one point to free my Spirit.
So this was the house I transformed the most in life. And it presents that the areas of life that come from the 2nd house have been the areas that I have most transformed in and is definitely where I am strong now, due to the wisdom gained from the lessons learned.
What's more, for those of you interested in Asteroids, I also have the asteroid Cupid conjunct Pluto here in Libra and it is opposing my Sun and Mars in Aries. And one of the most transformational experiences involved a soulmate I lived with for 5 years and would have "married" but who I walked away from. What's more, this man was extremely wealthy and so I walked away from the material security he gave and his love because he tried to control me..(my expression of will [concerns of Mars in Aries] over how I should be [Sun in Aries] in life...IE: Job, material possessions, friendships with others)
He wanted me all to himself and by walking away I learned the biggest lesson of my life about material possessions, that I am nothing I own and nothing in this reality defines me. This is one of many life lessons I learned about Material Security. And I find it interesting that this is for sure my TS strength, his second house is the fullest in his chart with ironically ...NN, Chiron,Venus and Saturn...all in Aries. He has always provided for himself and is materially secure and always has been from a very young age..he left home when he was 16. This wisdom was not present in me at first so I could not attract him until it was.

i think the house in which pluto resides shows the area of our lives where we will be powerful if we don't play manipulative mind-games and power-games and we find a pure way to express our abilities in that area. i think pluto teaches being powerful by letting go the desire of manipulation and control-freakness.

my pluto is in my 5th house.and when i desire to be creative, i can't. when i let go that desire, i'm creative.

for example, my mother's pluto conj her asc in leo. she seems so powerful but this power comes from manipulating other people.she manipulates because she is afraid that everything will be out of control if she doesn't control other people.this is a result of fears.this power which will be gaines by manipulation is an illusion.it's a way to hide the weaknesses and fears, it is not a power comes from inner-self.it is dependent on other people.if she lets go her fears and the desire to manipulate, she will have real power that comes from within.

i think pluto gives us fears in a specific area, because of that fears it causes us to be a control freak and manipulator and hide our fears, in a point we are sickened with ourselfs and we long to be more open, more honest, more vulnerable and also show this to other people.this is where healing side of pluto begins. when we learn to be more open, we become more feraless and more healed.

I have Pluto in my 4th house and I definitely could feel it I grow up in a very non traditional family home. As much as i love my mother she seem to have alienated herself from her family so i never met my family. Throughout the year I've seem to not really ask about them or care really I consider my family to be my friends than my mom or dad who had supported me and i could tell they love me but seem to be at strain with each other than focusing on me. I seem to have no emotion towards them. I have my NN between my 4/5 house cusping. So i figure I'm going to have to learn something in this house

P.S i have my pluto aspected tightly with my sun and squaring my asc in leo by 1 orb. Part Fortune in my 4th house too.

Pluto in 7th House. I guess I'm focused on marriage and family. I suppose I'm "strong" in that area.

I've always read that pluto is where you feel weakest, actually. LESS in control of yourself.

Pluto is about giving up control and surrendering.

I have Pluto in the 11th House of Friendship and Organizations and it is an intense placement despite not being in a personal house. I have experienced years-long lapses in communication with every friend I have ever had, including my own sister, whom I have always been very close to. I have a strong aversion to or affinity for certain communities (never have, never will joing Facebook) yet I make all of my friends through my affiliations with organizations I have joined. People have also told me felt a strong influence when I've joined clubs and many, many more have told me they felt compelled to leave an organization soon after I chose to leave. People have also also told me they've intuited that I'm going to leave a place before even I've realized that was going to be the case. It is very, very, very difficult for me to stay with organizations or people who I no longer have faith in. Sometimes, I hate that about this placement and other times it feels right. For financial or other practical reasons, it is sometimes advisable to keep associations with certain people or groups, but if I don't believe in them, I always separate from them inexplicably.

Yes, there is kind of a fear and awe in Pluto's house. There is a sense that one has a destiny there, too.

I think one must swim in the waters of Pluto's house. One will transform and transform those around them, as well.

This is exactly how I feel about Pluto in my 12th house, sometimes.

Pluto in the 12th may be different than Pluto in the other houses. The 12th is a different house, I think. The Pluto is turned inward and it's primal power is turned to the next dimension of spirituality. Pluto does not like that. No planet really does but primal power turned away from direct expression can be like a damn==pent up water. Do you feel that way Lazy Scarecrow?

Yes, yes, yes.
I don't think I could have said it better myself using that example. I do not feel strong in that house since I interpret having Pluto there as having hidden rage or motives, and I feel like I have had to repress many emotions in my life. It seems to come so easy for others, to turn off their sensitivity but I still have yet to do in a healthy way.
I hope what I said made sense or pertained to your question, if not please tell me.

Thanks LS
My goal, as as astrologer, is to get behind the eyes of as many aspects as I can. That is how I do astrology. I must be able to feel out placements which I don't have, as I can't have every one, obviously. Thanks! xx

I feel a lot like lazyscarecrow. 12H Pluto makes me prone to suicidal thoughts, depression, erratic and power-abusive attitudes, and giving into addictions of any kind - escaping into another world. I wouldn't do drugs EVER and I tend to stay away from alcohol, so when I say addiction I usually mean to my negative thoughts coupled with intense day dreams, to protect myself from the harshness of reality.

When I'm not being weak by being depressed and/or escapist, I can act abusive with a power unseen by people who don't know me well.
