I know, I was trying to convey the awkwardness which usually accompanies attempts at pick-up lines Capricorns (generically, of course) would like to slowly let things unfold and build up. Definitely no fans of pick up lines, as this puts the Cap in the 'vulnerable' position of having disclosed his/her feelings or attraction first. That's a big no-no, unless you're sure first that the other person likes you back - at which point you would be way past the stage of pick-up lines anyway So for the sake of this thread, if we really want to picture a typical Capricorn attempting a pick-up line, there has to be something at least a little bit outside of what others would consider 'flirting' Cap Sun and Mercury here. P.S. I've never offered a business card as a form of flirtation (yet)! IP: Logged |

I've had a Cap list his professional credentials and it worked. Lol. It's not about the money. He was broke at the time. But there's no chance I'll invest any time in someone who isn't driven, whatever they're doing. One man told me he was a professional human being. That worked too cause it turned out he was. Lol! SaturnFan, I thought it was totally cute and appropriate IP: Logged |

Haha! Thanks so much for sharing this! We're so misunderstood sometimes - it's great when someone appreciates our non-convential approach to flirting IP: Logged |

I really can't stand the Cancer "stereotypes", but whenever I've had to work to get a guy (and if you're working it likely won't happen), I've found myself cooking and cleaning, and I can't even cook !IP: Logged |

Haha, that's gold Seriously though, both my parents and 4 of my friends have Cancer Sun. I think your version of Cancer pickup line is brilliant IP: Logged |

Note to self: when Scorpio stares, say hi for him. When Virgo comes over, then tries to get away, buy him a drink for the road. While waiting for the bartender we might strike up a conversation that will make him feel comfy enough to stay. As a gem mars, I love yours EmGem. But a gem anything might regret asking me what I think. I'll take 'em seriously and there is nothing more unsexy than my general opinion of things.IP: Logged |

lol, thanks SaturnFan. My gosh two Cancer parents? I just have the one and she drives me nuts. Lol, no. She's great (and annoying). She's my biggest supporter and fan. No matter what's happened in my life, she made it so I couldn't lie to myself and say I was unloved at anytime in my life. Love my Cancer mommy, lol. I've got a little Cap girl, sun/moon/venus, 5th house. Girlfriend is a rockstar and she's only 9. I'm her biggest fan. My Scorpio son has a Cap moon. He's not a rockstar at all. He's a damn genius (Scorpio Mercury). I just love Capricorns to pieces. As you can see they really bring out the Cancer in me, love everywhere. I'm usually busy loving myself Leo Asc.....not to get off topic. IP: Logged |

We share Venus in Libra as well. It's a nice softening touch to our chart. And our Rising signs are opposite. Naturally it is the aspects and house placements that will make us differ as people though! Mercury in the 1st house could also explain why he comes off as highly intelligent. It's probably similar to Jupiter in the 1st (which is what I have) in one small way - learning becomes a very prioritized thing in life. It's hard to distinguish in some ways but I think one difference is Mercury would be more knowledge and Jupiter is more wisdom if the differences mean anything. IP: Logged |

Yes. I do understand what you mean by the difference between knowledge and wisdom. And yes, learning and research are a part of who he is. Maybe if he hadn't been my first child I would have been more nervous about homeschooling. He made it seem like it was going to be so easy. I think I gave him a phonics lesson once or twice, and then he just started reading. All I had to do was minimize distractions (video games, tv, etc) and he just read everything. Still does. If he weren't my son, I think I might be intimidated by his serious and intelligent nature, but he is very gentle with me. He thinks I'm amazing, and funny, and smart. That's what he says. Lol. I'm like, ok. If you say so... You guys also share a birthday, I think. Did you notice? IP: Logged |
