I am not sure one aspect in itself would bring such contradictory feelings.
The venus / pluto opposition is more about "I love you so much that the weight of my love for you is destructive to me" so the person is no good, not because of her/his qualities but because of the love you have for them and that you can't control. I think it would be a mix od venus/moon conjunction or opposition along with a sun square Saturn or opposition saturn.
The saturn person would feel tremendous love for the sun person because of the moon/ venus aspect but they would somehow look down on the sun person, constantly reevaluating their worth. Now, maybe by "you're no good for me" you were actually referring to "loving you is no good for me" rather than "your self, individuality is not good enough for me" IP: Logged |

My guess would be too many squares and oppositions in the synastry, that are not balanced with enough flowing aspects... Lots of passion but a feeling that the relationship is hopeless.That's not to say that a couple of hard aspects in synastry is a big problem. Especially if they're compensated for with a ratio of two soft aspects/conjunctions to every square/opposition. It's when the number of squares and oppositions greatly outnumber the amount soft aspects and conjunctions that there may be a problem. There's also personal development to take into account. Like if someone hangs out with criminals and has substance abuse problems they won't be good for anyone. IP: Logged |

What are we talking, in the sense of being detrimental to the person in some way, like being with the other is self-destructive? Pluto and 12th house is what came to mind for me. An afflicted Venus, for sure. Venus in Pisces is a dead riinger for thus sort of stuff. Throw Neptune in the mix and you've got your bad relationship cocktail of settling for the first person to come along. Throw Uranus in the 5th as well and you get weird mates that are there one minute and gone the next. The yo-yo type of relationship - enough to destroy those who want a stable relationship. Just curious... what if the synastry has a lot of squares and opposites but in composite is more harmonous. Or synastry is harmonous with conjunction, trines and sextile but composite has squares or scattered planets. Which is more preferable in your opinion? IP: Logged |
