Topic: hints a cancer likes you or not?

lately, i've been feeling the cancer's hot and detached attitude. one day, he'd stare like crazy, he lets me know he's staring, and gets close. the the next day, he wont make his stares obvious. i'd just catch him when i look up that he'd been staring. third, he'd get mad if he doesn't see me for a day. and when i go to him, he doesn't talk much, feels like he's rushing to get away from me, but with other people, he is all comfortable. what to make with these signs? They are crabs. They vet you by moving closer and then moving away. They have to be in control of the distance between you, what feels comfortable (aka safe) for them, etc. When he's being open, reciprocate. When he's being aloof, let him be. Don't go out of your way to ignore him, but let him come to you.IP: Logged |

Short answer: If not interested, they make themselves unattractive or try to gross you out.The Cancer in my life plays this game. I don't think they're interested, just like being liked. I was very interested so I started flirting, when I didn't get a satisfactory response I stopped - that's when things got complicated. The faces and moping really tugs at my heart, so I say hi & laugh, and make conversation & such. Next day, I'm avoided & ignored. If I go missing they find me, if I stay quiet I get the faces of emotional hurt. This one also has Mars in Cancer. IP: Logged |

what if they make things better for you, but not out in the open, more like hidden, and do things that makes you happy?

Trying to read what another person is thinking and their vibes towards you is like trying to collect 1000 feathers on a windy day. It does tend to feel a little hopeless.If he is a Cancer, its likely that he has one of the following Venus' Venus in Taurus- Usualy quite difficult to tell what their response to someone they like is, coz they tend to be so slow in displaying emotions.But they do love to touch and be touched.If you smell good and dress well, they usualy react positively to you; especially if your voice is also melodic to listen to. They're usually quite moody.
That's why they act differently from one day to another.
I think they withdraw when they feel unsure about your feelings for them or their own feelings for you.
It's like a rollercoaster. Up, down, up, down.
Now.. if he stares at you, and if he makes the effort to touch you/help you, whatever, it probably means he likes you (just think: why would someone do that if they have no interest at all?). However it doesn't necessarily mean he wants a relationship with you, so be careful. At this point he is probably attracted but it'll take more than this to "catch him and keep him" (they can be quite picky). IP: Logged |

^^I agree with other posters, but just trust your gut..About the doing things for you secretly, my Cancer is like this too. In public we are just "buddies" but in private he's very kind and protective.. Cancers love to nurture but they won't necessarily bring just anyone into that private world. I'm a Capricorn sun, Cancer ASC, so in my case I understood his reservations and the hot and cold approach, and behaved in a similar way towards him, not wanting to just fully jump into something that I didn't know if he was sure about (maybe he felt the same about me at times?). Now, looking back, if I could give you advice I would say take advantage of the times he is being open and giving, you don't have to be aggressive or pushy, he'll most likely run if you are, but it's ok to just ask him how he feels. Maybe he's just being friendly and likes the attention, or maybe he really does have feelings for you. He may think he's showing it through his actions, but if neither of you says anything, trust me that state of limbo and confusion you are feeling can go on for a very long time lol IP: Logged |

A Cancer will play hot and cold until they know your feelings 100% and then they will pounce and won't let you go.
Best way to get a Cancer is to prove your genuine interest in them. And don't play games, even if it seems like they are. It takes them a while to come out of their shell - especially if they have Venus in Cancer. In general though - look to a man's moon sign to tell you what he acts like in love look to his venus to show you what he is attracted to. If he has a Leo Venus he might not mine want a girl who is a little out of his league, or if he has a Gemini Venus he might simply like playing, if he has a Cancer Venus, he might be too shy to make the first move, if he has a Virgo Venus he will be picky, etc. IP: Logged |
