Yay, 2013 is going to be a great Chinese New Year! We will pull out of the financial crisis globally (especially in the US), and there will be lots of marriages and many new babies.

It's a terrible year for Rabbits like me. I have to be on my toes. It's a year of failed marriages, career stagnation, health problems and financial losses for Rabbits. It's a Black Water Snake year. I'm a Water Rabbit. I've been mentally preparing for the challenges ahead. First thing I need to do is hop around so I won't get eaten!!

I'm a Fire Snake. This is my year only the element is Water instead of Fire. I hope my enthusiasms don’t get dampened. Other then that this is my year! Here’s hoping I get what I’m looking for. Love, Successes, Money, Healing, and Inner Content and Happiness.

Sorry Snake and Monkey are terrible with incompatibility, although its a water element year in which you are in your natural habitat. In general, it'll be a mixed year and I suggest caution.

Snake and Monkey
The Snake and the Monkey may have too many opposing qualities to get along very well. They do both love to have a good time and are both charming and popular; this may be the saving grace of their relationship or it may simply point to the forum in which they initially connect. However, the Snake’s popularity and seductive charm belie a much more reserved nature; this sign is actually something of a homebody, one that loves to curl up and lose itself in a good book. The Monkey, on the other hand, is always interested in having a good time, in following its own pleasures and adventures.

As lovers, these two might have a lot of fun together going out on the town with friends; they are also capable of an intense sexual connection. However, the Snake tends to be the jealous, possessive type, and the Monkey will have a hard time not providing reason for the Snake’s jealousies to flare up. The Monkey is a loyal sign and, though it does have the potential to be an unfaithful lover, won’t necessarily fulfill that potential; however, its urge to be out with a different group every night will leave the Snake worrying anyway, no matter how faithful the Monkey has been.

If these two are in business together, they can make it work — if they can figure out how to get along. If they can avoid arguments, their opposite styles could actually be complementary. The Monkey is a go-getter who follows its fortune wherever it leads; this sign loves a challenge. The Snake is a more careful, deliberate worker; though sometimes considered lazy, this sign will work long and hard toward a goal it believes in. The Snake also tends to be very lucky with money, but may tire of the Monkey’s fun-loving nature. These two signs will likely compete with one another for the position as front person, and the Snake may ultimately put in more work than the Monkey.

I was born year of the Goat and Snakes are supposed to be good with Goats. Yeahhhhh!

The 2012 Dragon year was a doozie, but it ended on a very positive note. Perhaps because even though I am year of the goat, I was born on the day of the Dragon.

Yep. The oriental new year always starts just after the Aquarius New Moon. Look at all the change over dates for every year... Aquarius New Moon!

The year of the Black Water Snake starts February 4. But they officially celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 10.

I thought snakes and rabbits got along.

My guy is a water rabbit rising, and I'm a wood snake rising.

I've read compatibility wise for snakes and monkeys that they are attracted to each other, but are suspicious of each other.

All my signs are compatible with snake. Metal Horse year, Metal Dragon month, and fire sheep day.

We all have 4 different animals in our charts.

I was born in the Year of the Snake.

The Month of the Rat.

The Day of the Goat.

And the Hour of the Tiger.

Really? I looked it up online and it said on a Chinese astrology website that the change over this year is February 10th, and that last year it was January 23, and that in 2011 it was February 3rd. All these kick off dates are on the Aquarius New Moon.

There seems to be some disagreement among Chinese Astrologers.
