George Washington.[/B]
Inspired by the above posts. I notice all the Water Signs with the exception of Pisces are portrayed as overly masculine, often the most masculine of the Zodiac along with Leo, Aries, and Taurus. The Cancer Saints of Saint Seiya and many famous tough men often listed as Cancer (John D'Rockfeller, Sylvester Stallone, Vin Diesel). Even Stallone's icon character Rocky Balboa was stated to be a Cancer according to many sites. Scorpio has James Bond (considered the EMBODIMENT of the sign) and Lestat. Edmond Dantes from the Count of Monte Cristo is considered to be a Scorpio based on personality. Don't even get me started on famous personalities listed to be Scorpio such as Charles Manson, Theodore Roosevelt, Richard Burton, and Douglas MacArthur (not a Scorpio but Linda listed him under "Famous Scorpio Personalities). Even Pisces, as I mentioned in the quote above, portrays this to masculine aura. While true Pisces men are often stated to be the most effeminate and frail of the Zodiac, when you list the more masculine examples of men born under these signs (who are often also listed as "famous Pisces personalities), you really get some of the most masculine and toughest men as portrayed in popular media. A few examples are Chuck Norris, Daniel Craig (the latest James Bond), and George Washington (who is in Linda's own lists of "famous Pisces personalities). Don't get me started on listing the famous "Downstream Pisces" such as John Wayne Gacy and Joseph Mengele (trust me if you research this example, you'll never view Pisces as a sweet white-washy and frail sign again-Mengele is a MONSTER). This is all so amusing and funny. Linda stated that Water Signs-esp. Cancer (which we already discussed in a recent thread)-are the most feminine of the Zodiac. Only Scorpio would be "masculine" as per say to Goodman's description of the Scorpio Man in Sun Signs and even then she describes these men with a touch of femininity as they're very emotional and sensitive. So a feminine personality under a highly rugged and tenacious sign. I wonder where did this modern stereotype of Water Signs being portrayed as highly masculine and aggressive comes from. With the exception of Pisces (which even then is VERY MASCULINE when Pop media selects famous Pisces men), the Water Signs are all portrayed as the toughest of the tough (esp. Scorpio portrayals such as James Bond). I really do think Water Signs are the most Feminine. Even Scorpio (as underneath that pragmatic hardened personality is a sensitive person who's so emotional).

We can't just go by sun signs thou. Aspects aspects aspects! I know a lot of wimpy and girly aries natives. I know some aries guys that wear dresses and makeup.I known quite a few pisces jocks, everyones an individual. I would say water signs are sensitive and emotional which is linked to the feminine. That does not mean they are literally girly. IP: Logged |

Totally agree, kerosene.I can definitely see Rocky as a cancer or Pisces. He was really sweet and sensitive. Just because he's big and tough on the outside doesn't mean he's not soft and cuddly on the inside. It's not like physical strength and sensitivity are mutually exclusive or something. When he wasn't fighting, he was always super nice and caring to those around him. IP: Logged |

I think Ascendant and MC come to play when media portrays people as masculine or feminine.Daniel Craig has Aries ascendant which ofcourse gives out that masculine vibe, will Justin Bieber get portrayed as masculine guy just because he is a water sign?Nope.IP: Logged |

Obviously feminist culture, which is why feisty "fire sign" women are portrayed as feminine. DUH. JK IP: Logged |

You are far too focused on gender roles which makes me think your trying to overcompensate for what you may lack off-line. IP: Logged |

Alot of the celebs the OP mentioned are kinda bad boys. Iīm not sure theyīre more masculine than other men, they are more macho. Some of it is about over-compensation, but it could be that water is a very foceful element and it makes both men and women express their femininity and masculinity more intensly, and passionately. Water signs have more fun, basically. IP: Logged |

OP:My family is full of water sign men and I donīt agree that they are the most feminine. The opposite actually. Most of them are so over the top macho, sexist, and whatnot. I know that itīs just my crazy family filled with all these bad boys, but I donīt think itīs a coincidence that 95% of them are either pisces, cancer or scorpios. Cancers are worst, then pisces. Scorpios are actually the only feminine guys! And I doīt think that itīs a front, I think they are that way naturally, just beast-like. lol Itīs hard to explain this, but I think water signs UNDERSTAND feelings and people so well that alot of them say "To hell with it, I might as well be bad myself if the world is so selfish and bad". They have alot of anger inside. They can see through womens manipulations too. Try manipulating a water man! You will fail! They can and will be ruthless. Itīs the same as the water women. The stronger the sensitivity the tougher the shell, thatīs really true.. And itīs not a front. Itīs not fake. They really ARE that bad/macho. But they also have this depth that is soft and undefinable, filled with emotions. Thatīs why I love water sign men. They have it all! IP: Logged |

This Cancer guy I knew was very macho. But he also had his Moon(Aries) squaring his Suna nd Pluto squaring his Sun too. He often thought the world was against him.The best experience I've had with a water sign was Scorpio Sun. They are just so consistant and project a healing calm. My Sister is Scorpio sun.She rocks!!! IP: Logged |
