It's very difficult for me to stay completely focused on one topic at a time in conversation. I can focus just fine when I'm studying something; it's not my attention span that is the problem. It's just that when I'm talking, I feel pulled in like ten directions about what to say next, as if each planet wants to say its own thing. So I'm suspicious that it is my splash chart putting me up to this mischief. What do you think, is that plausible? If you have a splash chart, do you also have this problem? IP: Logged |

quote: Splash : As its name suggests this pattern, or rather lack of pattern, occurs when the planets are randomly distributed around the chart in a 'splash'. A person with this pattern will have diversification as their number one asset, with a universal and enriching mental outlook on life. The person will be eager to share their life and resources as universally as possible, wherever the need is greatest. However, as with the splay pattern, there is a danger of the person scattering their energy unproductively.

I don't have a splash chart, but I relate to what faith said. A while ago sweet-scorpion made a thread similar to what youre talking about faith.. I think the thread was called "dedicated to merc/Uranus" ...The people who responded to the thread who could also relate, had natal merc/Uranus aspects. I always thought that was the culprit.IP: Logged |

Hmm hard to tell, some astrologers say you have to have at least 8 (or even 10..) planets in different signs to have a splash chart!Looks like your planets occupy 7 signs? Better ask Faith. Here this may help you: http://www.pathwaytoascension.com/astrology/lesson3.html IP: Logged |

So its safe to say with 9 (10 if NN counts), one probably has a splash chart. And its interesting to see the other types. Learn something new everyday. xD IP: Logged |

@DouxThanks for bumping me! I've been going by what Bob Marks says: quote: The Splash Horoscope has the planets scattered pretty evenly around the wheel, as if they’ve been “splashed” there. The effect is to scatter your energies, a little bit here, a little bit there. Jack-of-all-trades, master of none. Or perhaps a Renaissance person with wide ranging interests.
http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/Splash.htm And here is my chart: It looks like a spirograph design, if anyone is familiar with them. @nahyt: Yes, I have Mercury square Uranus, less than 1 degree orb, and that just makes this problem worse. It's been really bad for me lately, I feel almost crazy inside because my thoughts are all over the place. Usually I can conceal this pretty well, but if you see me saying irrelevant stuff, please know it was an accident. @peach: Yes, yours looks like a splash chart to me. Planets are more or less evenly distributed around the circle. Of course I can't say how that relates to ADHD but to me, it seems like there could be a connection. @mischievous one: Thanks for saying you can relate! Good to know I'm not alone... IP: Logged |

You're welcome, Faith! Wow, your chart looks amazing! So many T-squares, that's a lot of energy / potential. And there are some flowing aspects as well, really good. I wonder what it's like to be you. Your Venus conjuncts my DSC / NN by the way - 3° orb. Marry me? IP: Logged |

Doux: OMG I thought you'd never ask! *cries and hugs you!* I should have posted my chart sooner, I feel like it does explain a lot about me. Thanks for taking a look at it! Hmm, I wonder how others would enjoy or dislike the experience of being me for a short time? I think they would be shocked by the inner tension (all those t-squares!) and maybe struggle to deal with the weird, shadowy guilt complex (12H Saturn) but maybe would enjoy the Pisces moon, Venus-Neptune universal love kinda thing I've got going on. Oh and good luck to anyone inhabiting my mind for a while, figuring out when to speak and when to shut up. Scorpio NN versus Leo rising: ASC: I want to be heard! NN: No. ASC: These things are important! Entertaining! NN: Not really. IP: Logged |

Tee hee! I knew you'd say yes! You know what, I'd like to discuss your chart with you, can I do it here or would you rather keep it private? I'm curious to know if the things that come to my mind are accurate or not. Would like to juggle with ideas a bit! What do you say? (I can't do it now though, gotta go soon, but later!) IP: Logged |

^ ROTFL! So true, I can tell that's how it would feel.@Doux, Yes, as soon as I get a divorce, move to France, meet your family and so on, we can plan the wedding! People might say, "What's going on, neither of you is gay, how did this happen?" And we will say, "Hey, ever heard of Venus conjunct DSC-NN synastry??? 'Nuff said!" And definitely, talk to me about my chart. I'd love to know what kind of impressions you are getting from it. Thanks! IP: Logged |

I think I qualify. Mostly, I am erratic. I do one thing, then stop in the middle because someone (edit: something, I ment to say something) else caught my attention, then something else, then I return to whatever I did first. IP: Logged |

Yes! I have a splash chart and Mercury/Uranus square, too. That sheds a completely new light on my style of communication. I annoy people who like to have conversations that I tend to think of in terms of a chess game, where each person takes a turn and very deliberately thinks before they speak (what a foreign concept), and everyone stays on topic. I like conversations that are more like a game of tennis or badminton, where things are kind of fast-moving, and can spin off in completely different directions (or sometimes go completely over the fence). I also talk incessantly when I'm nervous (Gemini SN, I suppose), which can be kind of embarrassing. Interesting! Now I can explain this to my husband, who finds my conversational methods vexing, and who has basically no interest in astrology, ha.

Yes, miranda, you definitely have a splash chart! And I totally relate about doing one thing, not finishing, starting another, not finishing, starting yet another...and then circling back to the first thing, not finishing, and so on. Like, I literally move in a circle. This is most apparent when I am housekeeping. Just this morning I asked my husband to stay put in our room while I fetched a quilt to make the bed with. I went downstairs and my son wanted help taping his project together, so we went roving around the house looking for tape. Then I remembered I had to water my plants, so I went outside and did that. Walked back in the house and saw my basket of dirty laundry waiting to be taken to the laundry room, so I did that. By time I made it back upstairs, my husband had given up, and I hadn't even remembered to get the quilt. I told him that I felt bad for him, marrying such an airhead. He was like, "No worries, I'm used to it!" It's not always that bad...but it can be that bad. Especially when I haven't eaten breakfast. Food sort of grounds me (and as singleton earth sun, I do need grounding.) IP: Logged |

I have a wider square between Mercury and Uranus as well, with the latter being the depositor of the first, as in your caseEdit: Infact, it's easier to list the differences, like the moon in the opposite sign IP: Logged |
