I do relate. Aries moon - In my eyes mom is a proud, assertive, fierce n crazy. I respect and admire those qualities. She also can be irritable, quick to explode.

Keke that describes me so well. When I was little.. heh you don't wanna know what kinda violent thoughts crossed my mind whenever I saw my parents smiled at or hugged another child.

Active, yes way too active. People tried to teach me to be gentle n placid, to sit quietly n to smile prettily. But yeah, I like running around, climbing...etc... Broke some bones falling off the trees lol. People were always like "How will you ever be able to wear dresses n skirts when you grow up? Look at all those bruises n scars on your legs."

They often sound like an interpretation of Moon square Saturn - as opposed to an interpretation of Moon trine Saturn.

Capricorn stands for someone who earns people's respect easily.... so the interpretation of "manager, serious etc" - isn't really enough. That almost sounds like Virgo. Capricorn is more impressive than Virgo in terms of their CV.

'Not around as much as I would like'... hmmm well she was very busy when I was young so she was only around on weekends.. but I didn't feel like I missed her much because I had my grandparents there.
I don't feel like I would've wanted her to be around more to be honest. I love my mum.. I just didn't feel like I missed her. I was constantly talking to her during the week anyway.. so it felt like she was there.
I have an exact Moon sextile Mercury aspect. We are constantly talking lol And she has a Gemini Moon.

This is 100% accurate. I was very close to my grandparents while growing up. They were more like parents. They were also fairly young at the time (middle aged not 'elderly'), fit, healthy, very active/sporty and very liberal minded people.. not what you normally imagine when you think 'grandparents'.

Nope. Never.
I haven't actually had anyone in my entire family - including my mother.. discourage dependency lol I wish they did!!

My family is central European and they tend to smother me in affection - as opposed to discourage dependency.
They encourage dependency TOO MUCH if anything.
I have to beat them off with a stick.

:edit: What they did discourage though is -marriage-.
I have noticed a huge trend with the parents of Cancer Moon people encouraging marriage.. and the parents of Capricorn Moon people - making it very clear that the 'kid' should focus on their career as opposed to romantic things.
I feel like this was very engrained in me from an early age... There was a general vibe in my family that love/romance/marriage etc is kind of trivial, whereas one's career is beyond important.

I don't feel like I *need* tangible demonstrations. It's always nice to be hugged and I am happy to initiate hugs as well or other demonstrations of affection, kisses etc
But it's not such a big deal for me.

If someone was not 'touchy feely' I wouldn't mind.
If they were - I wouldn't mind.
Either way - I just don't mind.

I always tell people that as a child I picked up on things with my parents for no apparent reason.
I would talk to my mum on a very deep level from as young as 6 or 7.

My mother wasn't religious though. And my way of getting out of an intense emotionally heavy family atmosphere was to get the hell out of dodge. I left my family home when I was 17 and as much as I love my mom, I sort of dread going back. She's way to emotionally heavy for me.

In fact, I do remember feeling and even expressing a certain aversion and hatred toward her, even though I was still a kid (although never actually directly to her). I'd even make up stories about her not being my real mom. But, at the same time, I was attached at the hip with her. I see how the love-hate connection started.

And all those qualities are still there and in me, now, even though I deal with and express them differently, as an adult.
