Recently I've been reading about relocation charts and I'd love to hear about other people's opinions/experiences with it. Thanks.Do you use relocation charts and feel that it is relevant? I think mine is kinda relevant.

I truly think they don't work. I tried looking into them, but can't say I see the point behind the premise - you don't travel back in time, you are not reborn somewhere else... IP: Logged |

Hmm... I'm not sure.My relocation chart at the moment makes complete sense to me, but I can feel my natal as well. I think they're valid but they don't "take away" from your natal energies, you know? Just kind of... add something. It's true that sometimes moving to a different place can change someone's life... The place I live in now, doesn't allow me to develop my full potential because the energy is too oppressive (maybe because I have Cap ascending, here). That's why I want to move outta here asap, I'm sure things can be better for me in another place. IP: Logged |

Interesting!I find my location oppressive as well and I have a Cap rising here too. I also have a Libra MC and most of my lessons here have been about being diplomatic. It's great because I natally have Cap on my MC and Libra on my DSC so this place has helped me to develop the two angles that really need it! I think relocation charts do just that, show you what area will be focused on. It's not changing your natal chart or anything though. You'll still be you but your location will affect certain parts of you for better or worse. IP: Logged |

I agree they can make a difference... My relocation chart for when I lived in Hawaii changes my Cancer ASC to Aries, and my 7th house planets move to the 10th house. For whatever reason I really do feel waaaaay more confident and outgoing there, and ironically I feel like I have a lot more connections there than I do here even though I only lived there for a little over a year total. Instead of coming off as timid and blending into the background, authority figures seem to respect me right away, and I have family friends there who are more established. Finding a job would never be a problem. I didn't think I wanted to live there permanently, but at this point moving back long term is a serious possibilityI tried to make things work here, but I think staying in the Midwest has been really repressive and I need to get out of here sooner than later lol IP: Logged |

I changed the place. I live in Europe and in New York my angles move backward only by a few degrees.

Cappy that's because the latitude and longitude of your European location and New York is not that different.I went from the U.S. to Australia so my MC became my ASC. IP: Logged |

My ASC/DSC axis only increased by about 2 degrees, but it's still Leo/Aqua. And my IC/MC decreased by about 6 degrees, but remains in Libra/Aries.No house changes for any planets and Sag and Gem are still intercepted. So, I guess overall, my relocation chart would be accurate eta: I did however lose the natal square from my NN to my ASC and I do feel like I belong (roughly) where I'm at. I love the state I live in, it's absolutely beautiful. The only thing I can't understand is the fact that people would choose to live in a place that there is over a 100 degree difference between the hottest and coldest days of the year. Baffles my mind. Guys, you can experiment with the event chart = a natal chart of your moving and compare it to your birth chart. It makes more sense than relocation chart. IP: Logged |

In my country the difference can be 60C (140F), can you imagine? I just found out that in my relocated chart the asteroid for the city I made it for is conjunct my AC by 4 minutes (from the 12th house)! How cool is that? I have a good feeling about that place... ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

No! I can't! lol The place I was born there is only about a 50-60F difference. I don't want to imagine 140. People are crazy. End of story. That's awesome about the city asteroid, though! Maybe living there will help you open up spiritually? Or is where you will begin your spiritual path? Interesting to see what comes of that cappy! IP: Logged |

Well...I'd be glad to live in a place where the difference is small. Somewhere where it doesn't get hot to be more exact When it comes to spirituality, I'm already on a journey, I thought it was obvious But I'm pretty sure my progress would speed up there. ------------------ I'm sooo happy! My experience - on a very superficial level - is that relocation charts say more about your experience in a particular locale than they do about shifts in your personality. For instance, I was born with Virgo rising at 27 degrees...In my hometown, I grew up occupying a lower socio-economic sphere, and my family was clustered in and around service positions. Much sacrifice was needed simply to stay afloat. When we moved to my current city (which isn't actually all that far away...only about 600 miles), my relocation Ascendant jumps to 2 degrees Libra. Even though none of my planets changed houses, my life here is significantly more balanced. My family is by no means rich, but we are exceedingly comfortable here. My experience here is that people are generally much more fair and equitable than I experienced growing up. When I lived in Europe, my relocation Ascendant changed to 2 degrees Sag...Well, on the superficial level, I was definitely the foreigner (sag stereotype? Haha), but more importantly living in Europe was an ADVENTURE for me. If you had the resources to enjoy it, I found it FUN and exciting (probably because it was so different) in a way that North America just...isn't. More importantly, this relocation put my natal Moon conjunct the Ascendant and my natal IC in the 1st House, and I definitely felt like my most authentic self when I lived there. I really felt "at home" in a strange way. Just my two cents. IP: Logged |

Thanks for sharing. How do you think a Scoprio Moon in the 3rd (natally in the 2nd) would manifest itself?------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

You'd talk about sexy times a lot. I think it'd be good for some deep thinking and powerful / emotional / intense communication with others.
Does that sound appealing to you?
