How would the birth date alone determinate such things?

And it isn't even fun to get the results. So yeah. This "secret personality" stuff is physically painful to read about, if you ask me.

It has to do with the month (Sun-sign), season, (Ex. Cancer, Leo and Virgo are Summer signs, which are under "Developmental"), day (Numerology) and week (Decan), except in this, they use cusps, so the last week of Virgo for example (Week of Beauty) is taking into consideration the Virgo/Libra Cusp. (Which I personally do not believe Cusps exist, but that's a different topic).

So, it's not inaccurate, but rather in general in the sense that it is looking at the deepest it can go with only using the birth date. Although, it's pretty much defining Astrology and Numerology without actually mentioning it, which is pretty funny.

Also, your link is a whole 'nother topic. You do realize that you're on an Astrology forum and saying that the "Secret Personality" is inaccurate because of the Forer Effect, yet, it's also against Astrology as a whole as well. It's not like it only applies to birth dates because they're in general, it applies to Astrology, period.

It's still overly general, since it doesn't account for birth locations, and acts like it has to apply and manifest to everyone born within that day/season/etc in the same way (or in a similar way at all).

I also think a great deal of the way astrology gets used causes it to get a bad reputation, exactly for the same reason: interpretations that sound way too broad (and as such are going to be agreed with by most people), and that don't even attempt to not be vague or, in other cases, to not consider the different ways a position or aspect might express itself.

Not saying it applies to all, but there's a sizeable amount of people who act like astrology (tropical astrology anyway) is supposed to give results that work in one way only, or who just scam others by making extremely general and vague interpretations.
