I think mine is an Eagle. I have Scorpio rising with Jupiter conjunct Uranus in the 1st.

I need to be in control of my environment and always seat were I can see everything going on if not I don't feel as comfortable, I gravitate always towards that seat in the restaurant that gives me maximum view lol.

I love freedom, exploring new territory and been up there seeing it all underneath me and taking it all in, It feels so amazing been on top of a mountain close to the eagles flying and the view from up there..

By contrast I think turtles are my second spirit animal totum, I know quite a contrast but my chart ruler is pluto and conjuncts saturn which identifies with the slow but steady style of turtles and their long life. Mars however conjuncts my Venus which I feel matches more the eagle spirit.

What is your animal spirit totem and rising sign etc..?

That is totally based on your own opinion, what feels right to you.

A while back I did a meditation exercise for finding my spirit animal. In that case, I had Coyote.

I took a little personality quiz just now and came up with Owl.

I could see either, or a combination of them.

- Solitude / recluse / Private
- Intuitive
- Opportunist
- Survivalist (will hunt or scavenge)
- Observer
- Equipped to defend

Eagle is my clan (my mother's clan, in Cree/nehiyawe cosmology), and I'm Scorpio rising, too. In our teachings, Eagle as one of seven clan groups represents Love... seeing from a great distance. Also the eagle doesn't kill it's prey on the ground... brings it to a great height first... that's important.

I also have a spirit guide, as seen by an elder, which is the polar bear... Pretty Scorpio too, I think, and also resonates with my Capricorn moon. I live in a province where polar bears live, and have befriended the one at the zoo (I go to the zoo to make offerings and friendships, to honour those animal spirits... for a long time I didn't go to the zoo until I had a vision that those souls had chosen to incarnate there to hold space and transmit energy from this geographical location... a sacrifice, it seems, but a gift as well...).

Anyway, like the polar bear, I am happy raising my young alone. I am strong and enjoy solitude, and can survive and thrive in harsh conditions. I also LOVE swimming!!

The ones at the zoo are sooo inspiring underwater, kicking off from the rock walls and being generally incredible.. so beautiful .

They're really good at relaxing too hehe... they really know how to lounge..

It seems to be a white cat for me, though dragons have featured enough in my dreams (including as guides, guardians, and protectors--though I've had some nightmares about them as well) that maybe it's dragons. And in different dreams I've either shapeshifted into a white cat, or into a dragon.

I'm definitely a black panther.

I'm a Taurus rising, Venus/Pluto Scorpio conj DC
Neptune/Jupiter trine/sextile 0 degrees

Felines in general, I love cats. I have tons of dreams with cats in them, all kinds even crazy surreal shape shifting cats. I have a cat friend named arcane, he's white, a little ice prince and is one of my best little buddies, he's my cat child.

Also, my Mayan sign is the jaguar, and in Egyptian astrology I'm Bastet the cat goddess.

Next to cat, id say lizard. I've read that Libra's animal was lizards haha, I can relate.

When I pulled my animal totem cards they were so spot on, there's 7 you pull, and the first 4 I pulled were Bat, Black Jaguar, Lizard then Butterfly. To the T perfect for me, I resonate with these animal guides

Dop Gang,

I did a quiz, too, and also came up with the Owl - which makes sense.

I think that I usually do. Which I don't mind because I actually love owls.
Owl makes sense for you I think.

I love deer, which makes sense: they're basically peaceful, but also skittish.

Some people call me "bunny" - also generally peaceful but skittish animals.

I don't know which test others took, but I received a wolf as my result for one. Social animals, but also loners, in a sense, which is fitting right now.

I have totem cards, but they're called the Druid Animal oracle. I've seen medicine cards in the store, but wasn't drawn to the deck. I'll see if I can find mine later on.

DopGang,

yes, I love owls, too, and think they make sense.

Though interestingly enough my mom was telling this story how when i was being born two doves were starting to nest beyond my window, and then after we moved a few years later, when we settled into the new home, again a pair of doves was starting to nest near my window. In fact there is still a pair of doves.... you get the pattern.

Other than that, I know sounds too normal, but cats. they keep patrolling around my appartment especially if my parents, who live next door are gone, and now and then will just appear in my path, and remind me of something I almost forgot to do or pay attention. lol

But then I do love birds (and cats as well, yes), owls, crows, etc. Crows and crowlike birds in particular often come down to me or sit somewhere and apparently try to tell me something. Unfortunately I do not speak crowish.

hypatia, I like to sit next to windows. We have a huge window in the living room, and when I ate at the hospital cafeteria, I always tried to get a seat right next to the window covering one wall - unless the sun was blazing in.

At the bookstore, I sit next to the windows in the corner - a wall of glass - or at a table close to them.

I much prefer being outside when I can be, though. I used to spend a lot of time reading in the garden, either on the deck, or stretched out on the grass, surrounded by books. I missed out on that again this year (I always seem to end up being up all night, even though I generally prefer the sunshine, and being up all day). Maybe my totem is a bat.

I tried a meditation nine years ago, when hay house had the free radio online, and Doreen Virtue's husband had a show. All I remember is coming across a bear. I used to have dreams of being dragged under water by something, and then the dreams changed to bears trying to break into the house, or crowding into the garden, coming out of the woods.

I also dreamed that I was chased and attacked by wolves, nine years ago, but I was reading "Women Who Run With The Wolves" at the time, so my subconscious was probably having a bit of "fun" with me.

Interesting: http://www.whats-your-sign.com/animal-symbolism-bat.html
http://www.spirit-animals.com/bat/

If Bat is your Animal Totem;
You are highly sensitive to and extremely aware of your surroundings and have a powerful ability to see through illusions. You tend to dive straight to the heart of matters, are extremely social and have strong family ties. You are nurturing, have good communications skills and use your sense of touch as part of communicating. You are very perceptive on a psychic level and are prone to having prophetic dreams. You are also highly adaptable to any situation you find yourself in.

I had an encounter with a coyote one time while out walking. It felt special to me. I love any of those kinds of animals.
Owls, coyote, cougar, fox, etc.
Ones we rarely see. Like ghosts in the wild. They are there but know how to keep from being seen.
