A relative of mine and his spouse had a baby yesterday. There is a joy when a little one comes into the world....but when my mom told e what they named the boy, I nearly fell out of my chair and then became very very sad for the baby. The name is Hades Helios. My mom is fumingly livid about this and my head is spinning. I did do up his chart and shook my head. Hmmmmm let's see. Hades - another word for Pluto. Well he has a packed 8th house with Sun, Mars, Pluto and North node there. PLUS Venus in Scorpio..... Sigh. The jokes keep coming in my mind here......Oh the fun set I could have with this doing stand up. What NOT to call your baby by Cynnared. Well at least he didn't name him Lefty etc....... IP: Logged |

That's hilarious. They obviously want to set him up for the biggest jokes possible in grade school. . . I just tried saying the same out loud and it made me laugh immediately afterward. I wanna be there at his wedding, you know the kind where they recite your full name before asking if you really wanna be shacked up with this person for eternity. Automatic room full of laughter. I don't believe they are into astrology. If the baby would have been born an hour later he would have had Hades Rising. It's in the 1st house.

I was a goth in the late 80's and 90's and it had been around for years already. Emos are just weaker sissier versions of goths . Sure, their will be some version of goth around in 15 years.Hopefully, the kid will have the personality to OWN that name instead of the other way around. IP: Logged |

Wow and they both agreed to it?!! Well to each their own I guess...My ex wanted to name our baby (now 17 yrs old) Angus. I hated that name. Besides he was born 12 1/2 pounds. And is now about 6'5 and not a small kid...and a bit clumsy for being autistic. So that wouldn't have been a wise name lol. Eric fits him fine IP: Logged |

My brother's name is Michael. He ain't no angel.I like the scene in the movie, Michael, where he's eating frosted flakes with lots of sugar spooned on top, and he's asked how an angel can smoke and drink, and he replies, "I'm not that kind of angel" as milk spills on his chin. ------------------ "Cooking is like love. I had a friend when I was 13 years old with whom we got out our telescopes and watched the sky all night and talked. His name was Neptune Nostradaumus............ not posting his last names. Lovely intelligent sweet fellow. He was 12 years old and fluent in Latin. Loved hearing him talk. PS.I generally adore Goths and Emo. I was goth/punk/emo before they were called such. So generally just got called spooky or freaky in the late 1960s and the 1970s. Yes I was a Hippie too but with a serious twist of the macabre/vamp. LOL! Think Clocwork Orange meets Morticia. Kinda early steampunk too.
