Hello there!

I just finished reading all three Fifty Shades books and I couldn't help but wonder while reading... If Christian Grey were a real person, what sign would he be?
Personally, I think Christian is a Taurus - sexual, dominant, blunt, and masculine.
What do you think?

^ dunno... I was on the first one. I went to the facebook fanpage and there was some stupid girl who had to post what happened in the end in about 3-4 words.

She f'in ruined it so i never got past pg 222.

Also, i think the author gave him a birthday in june so technically, he's a gemini.

taureans are not that dominant. but if they had a lot of aries they could be very abusive IMO. but it's not certain that would come out in their sexuality. they could just be plain abusive.

i have taurus sun, mars in scorpio and i'm dominant in scorpio, taurus, and aries. not really my thing but i love how women are starting to explore their sexuality.

p.s. never read the book.

Mmmm... ^ matt is yummy.

I don't know if i can imagine him with a red room of pain, though.. Is he gay? Every male actor name that i type into google is followed by "gay" in that suggestive search feature..

Hmmm....

You're right! They did give him a birthday in June. Completely forgot about that.

The taurus men that I have been with have been dominant with me in bed and not in the abusive way. That's why I thought taurus.

@ C1ND3R - That sucks that someone spoiled the books for you! You may still find them satisfying, even if knowing the end result. I know I could probably pick them up once again and read the series over.

I always imagined Henry Cavill as Christian Grey... hubba hubba! lol

He is but his sexuality doesn't matter to me. A actor is actor, they're therer to play a role even if it doesn't fit in perfectly with their life.

I was really into the book @libra.. I've been known to take notes while watching films and i remember the book reminding me a LOT of an extreme Pretty Woman.

It's every woman's fantasy, i guess... Probably why it's such a big hit.

Even down to the piano bit... But again, i only read half of the first. I didn't read darker or freed.

My background is in the arts so i dissected the book from a different standpoint (also, virgo south node).

@C1ND3R - LOL! I only wish I knew men like Henry Cavill in real life!

I can see the Pretty Woman reference, but without the hooker part.

Every woman's fantasy = to be swept up by a handsome, rich man who is good in bed... yeah... I can definitely see the appeal!

Its not mine, if I really want something I'd rather buy if for my own materialistic needs not someone trying to win me over with expensive things.

Hahaha, he's Mars in Scorpio! LMAO! Ever wonder how making astro charts for fictional characters works dead on even though the authors prolly had no clue of astrology?!
I mean look at this chart!!!

I actually half am in love with this guy, so much because he resembles the guy I'm obsessed with, a lot (except the BDSM part, m not sure though, since we haven't been that far yet). But he has Mars in Scorpio & he is Capricorn Sun/Mercury/Venus. so both my guy & christian grey

1- look dark & mysterious, dangerous but sexy
2- both are emotionally shut off
3- both had troubled childhood
4- both fall for girls totally opposite to them
5- both are very very business-like in first few encounters & approach everything as business
6- both are extremely protective up to extent of stalking
7- coconut people, hard outside, fragile inside
8- I'm obsessed with both

so I say Christian Grey is a Capricorn. The author should have studied a bit of astrology before coming up with the man of my dreams...*sigh*

Use something as basic as a children's story. Look at the story of Red Riding Hood. Its a struggle between your id, ego and super-ego. Your id being your shadow, the unconscious/sub-conscious side/primal of your mind being satisfied with the emotions the feelings bad boys activate within you. The very basics of a bad boy represents hyper-masculinity, survival, and sex.

For some reason the bad boy is the most masculine figure in many women's id (primal side) with the Red Riding Hood story in mind The wolf is the Id of the story, a beast, with only two things in mind. The huntsman the balance between the superego and id, the ego. He represents a stable source of masculinity and protection. The super ego the grandmother the oldest character in the story, the one with the ability to sway Red Riding Hood's mind to more rational decisions. Lastly Red Riding Hood the adolescent girl in all of us, she's nameless for a reason. Red signifying blossoming sexuality as well as curiosity. There is a inner turmoil within her to find the right choice to obey her grandmother and family stay on the straight and narrow path or explore the woods.

In many versions of the story the ending is never the same, in some the wolf disguises himself in the skin of the grandmother becoming her momentary super-ego then she's eaten by the wolf along with her grandmother and saved by the Huntsman cutting open the wolf's stomach; sign of transformation/rebirth after living within the belly of the beast and she marries the huntsman, in other's she has a sexual encounter with the wolf and becomes his mate; sexual awakening with coupling with the wolf, and in others she is the wolf itself;she has to accept that fact that she isn't ruled only by her Ego and Super-ego that some part of her holds the id, her primal, shadow side of her persona that she needs to integrate within herself to be a whole person.
