you can learn more about what this conjunction means by seeing the houses they rule. jupiter does well in the 11th house as 11th house is the house of cash/gains and a positive jupiter here can expand finances.

Jupiter conjunct Mercury in Cancer is good because Jupiter is exalted and Mercury is weak in the sign of Cancer so it can't hurt Jupiter so much, so good for all Jupiter things and average for Mercury things because Jupiter still helps out Mercury due to his benefic nature.

So if this was in the 4th house, you might of had a great mother, loving, compassionate and also would have a lovely home. Would be good for real estate because then 9th lord Jupiter would be in 4th house. This is not only a wealth yoga if I'm correct but would also be a Dharmakarma yoga; so might signify someone who is very spiritual and would have high status.

Generally though, Jupiter conjunct Mercury in the Ashlesha nakshatra signifys someone who is very good at investigating. They can really get to the truth (Jupiter) and dig deep (Ashlesha) to whatever it is they're researching (Mercury). Very smart person and since Jupiter is strong, they'd investigate things for moral reasons, for instance researching a drug to cure Cancer. Strong belief systems, etc
