"he will wear his comfortable shorts and cowboy boots to walk down to the pool"
That's Leo style , as long as he has the comboy hat too , country-western, but LeoIt may be the Southern California thing, but I have a couple close homies, a Gem & Aries, that both share my finnickyness about clothing... Me and the Aries have very similar tastes, and he's probably the one I exchange the most compliments with out of my group of friends...
As for Hot Topic... it may be different for dude's clothing, but in "my humble onion" the clothing is somewhat poorly made... to be worn to a club 2-3 times and never washed
They have some dope studded stuff for women, but their guy's belts blow...
For any dudes that are looking for quality & style in the "Hot Topic" type fashion, I'd recommend www.pimpit.com... GREAT stuff for dudes, although somewhat SoCal flair to it
I'd go Urban Outfitters after that, stay away from chain stores if at all possible, can't find ANYTHING original in there! Unless it's professional work "shirt/tie" attire and for that, I think Express for dudes/Structure rocks, maybe Nordstroms, but you have to watch the labels, they try to substitute crappy "house" brands that were made in Asian sweatshops for a quality & unique product... Personally Macy's is better than Nordy's nowadays for, good Donna Karen dress stuff
For upscale dressy club shirts, Armani Exchange for sure...
Rockstar (Club Rubber) type-stuff, www.pimpit.com
Casual, for me, is surf/skate/snowboard attire... I LIVE MY LIFE around Laguna Surf & Sport, the best store ever! Maybe Becker & Emerald City too, but definently NO Tilly's shiz!!
Now I'm rambling, I best shut up...
