I have no opinion on the Uranus in the 1st house.....it sounds good to me!The one and only time I had a professional astrologer do a personal reading, she told me that brilliance or genius is generally consistant with ones Sun being within 3 degrees of ones Midheaven........ Or maybe she was just trying to flatter me. I was told I was eidetic, and well....I'm not into bragging, but yeah I am bright. So is everyone here...esp all of you with your Uranus in the 1st........ Maybe this maybe that.....but this board is great!! MK IP: Logged |

Motherkonfesser-hopefully this astrologer was not simply trying to flatter you! I have Sun conj. Midhaven by 2 degrees, accented of course by Mercury (chart ruler) conj. Midhaven by 3 degrees. Ok, maybe I'm just trying to flatter myself. IP: Logged |

Hmm, I have good number of indicators listed on this thread and I know for sure I am not that brilliant!!! I purposely flunked calculus to get out of studying engineering and went into politics. Don't think too many people would consider that brilliant. LOL. Signed, A box of duds called Aphrodite IP: Logged |

I'm not exactly brilliant. Some have said I know my way around words though.. So folks, what do you think there is in this chart that might have any bearing on intellect? (For that matter, what might there be in this chart that has me listening to Kool and the Gang? Misled...MisleeEEd!) IP: Logged |

I have Aquarius ruling my 9th house and I have Uranus ruling my sixth house conjuct with my Saturn. Uranus and Saturn are in Sagitarrius...does that make me brilliant? -StarLover IP: Logged |

Confession time: I really asked about my aspect because I was hoping someone would tell me it indicates brilliance Hmm, I'm not quite sure how my opposition plays out in my life. Lately I've had more problems than usual with concentration, spaciness, and forgetfulness. Must be that pesky depression. Actually I've always been told that I'm very smart, I was in gifted classes when I was in school and that kind of stuff. I do get flashes of brilliance and inspiration but its usually not original (Uranus). It's usually something funny, in a satirical or dark, twisted way. I'm not very good at coming up with original ideas, but I can definitely take something that already exists and work with it or make fun of it. On the subject, and I don't mean to sound arrogant, but is it common for Geminis to strongly associate their intelligence with their identity? Because being The Smart Kid was always my "title" growing up, and lately I feel like I'm getting more stupid by the minute and I feel very insecure thinking about it. Like I said, I get spacey and confused, especially at work or in new situations and people think I'm slow, and it's very disconcerting because it's the opposite of the image I'm used to having.

That has happened to me, too! I'm the first of 4 kids, was in the gifted program, did a year exchange student program to Austria and my sibs always heard "I can't believe you're Nackie's brother/sister!" From my parents, as well, unfortunately. So you grow up believing you're smart beyond belief and then you enter the real world lol.I'm forgetful, too...I think a lot of Gemini are. That and the fact that Geminis go off on so many tangents, and it's so hard to follow what we're saying, that people think we're pretty stupid lol. Now just imagine that we would talk about ALL the thoughts that went through our head at one time, we'd need like 15 mouths and 100 listeners...I wish they'd understand what life is like with a gemini brain lol...It's like watching TV without a filter, all the channels, all at once and all the time. Anyway, back on topic

What about the quintile? (72 degrees) it shows talent. Any Sun contact with Uranus gives smarts(so I'm told) but this aspect is said to give brillance. (That means I'm smart.....of course I have Mercury squared Uranus and Mars...I maybe smart but I might not live long enough to make it work for me....(violent aspects)(sorry, Neptune is playing the whole, "I'm gonna show you what fear is" routine, and with Saturn in the 8th, death has been on my mind)As far as the t-squares, I have one too. The key to a t-square(as far as I can figure) is to look for the corner that's missing. I have the water, fire and air but I'm missing the earth that should keep me grounded(I'm opting for lead shoes). IP: Logged |

Woah!!! Does dafremen still post here? He or She has my exact chart except for the moon. The same conjunction of Mars, Pluto Jupiter and Uranus in 10th house (Virgo cusp) and Sun and Mercury in 11th (Libra) AND Ascendant in Scorpio conjunct Neptune and Venus. Damn......that's weird! I've never come across anyone who had an identical chart to my own.......
