great job .gloria Hmm, the only owl I see is hookeds. My totem is the Owl and I love her so much. When I asked my guides to see my totem, she came to visit my meditations 3 times on 3 consecutive occassions. Hey Tink, while this may not be the spiritual aspects but we have grouse here and they are wonderful birds. They are very maternal, industrious ,resourceful,intellegent, timid yet when they get to know you, tame. Grouse feathers found are a sign of a blessing to follow. ------------------

Thank you for that Juniperb. What a good soul you are.
Maternal, industrious, resourceful, intelligent - never. Not a drop of any of those lovely things in my blood. Timid - on occasion if I'm undecided. Always in action though, never in thought.
I'm terribly sorry, astrojunkie, if I appear ungrateful. I really do appreciate what you have done. The Eagle, the deer, raven and lizard all seemed right on. I can't say that I know anything about the grouse. It's just that they really do give me the creeps. On the other hand, I think lizards are cute. Go figure. 
I'm having a thickheaded moment. What do you mean, "common denominator"?Thank you again

Tink -Don't worry... Let me see if I can word this in a way that finally reaches you. It's like, someone has a gathering or party, and there's a bunch of people there, except everyone feels like it's not complete without The Grouse (you)... You have flightly people who are buzzing with ideas and who experiment a lot with ideas and with life. Thanks, Gloria. I met a baby otter when I was at a dig on the central coast of BC. It was an orphan being raised by some local people and was soooo cute. Hummingbirds and dragonflies and turkeys...I like them all. Of course, I am a huge animal lover. There are wild turkeys around where I live. They have deep colors and are amazingly beautiful. They don't look much like their domesticated cousins. Could you recommend a book or website where I can find out more about what these totems mean?IP: Logged |
