Harpyr - no - we just got the same feeling you did, that's all. We didn't think you were like trying to lie down the law.

I'm a bad triple Cappy; not much for formalities or strict structural boundaries. Just don't get personal, and everyone will be okay. Other than that, business as usual.

Okay, Okay, Okay, just one more thing Randall. Now, the "LINDA GOODMAN IS ALIVE" thread, would anything on there be considered something that is objectionable enough to cause a banning? I ask about that particular thread because there was a lot of passion and retorts (conotative sense of the word) that maybe was thought to be personal, but I really didn't think so.

Ok, that was hopefully my last clarification question.

I love that thread !!! It showed such beauty and passion !! I think Distant Drummer was so misunderstood.
The rules do make me a little nervy too, although I can see the good in them :0)
I do think that the offender should be given warnings beforehand so they know what it is they are doing wrong. Like verbal and written warnings like in school !! I mean look at me, I have insulted people without realising.

ROTFL, Lioneye! I haven't heard the word NEWFIE in a bazillion years! ROTFL I think most people on this site don't even know what that is, but please know, you brightened up my rather bleak day! Thanks for the chuckle,

Nackie (who has an uncle who's a goofy newfie)

NOT like this... "You're a stupid/conceited/useless (whatever) so and so because you're a Leo/Jew/Man/Woman/ Newfie (whatever), and while we're at it, suck my such and such because that's all you're good for"...

LMAO..I see..I we call Newfoundland dogs (the breed) Newfies..but I didn't think to put tht together..LOL...do the peeps slobber like the pups? Just kidding.

We had a big old Newfie semi pup in one of the ER places I teched at. The dog had such a HUGE head that after the total hip replacement we had to use a BUCKET on his head instead of an e-collar - the bottom was cut out and we lined it with Vet wrap so it was soft. But that dog was HUGE..and so much Slobber! I loved him His name was Morgan

I'm so glad to have some fellow Cannucksters here.
