"Astrology is a science in itself and contains an illuminating body of knowledge. It taught me many things, and I am greatly indebted to it. Geophysical evidence reveals the power of the stars and the planets in relation to the terrestrial. In turn, astrology reinforces this power to some extent. This is why astrology is like a life-giving elixir to mankind." - ALBERT EINSTEIN

Hello, I'm happy to discuss Einstein with my first post ! As a librarian, I have quite a few books on him and love his quotes.

"I shall never believe that God places dice with the universe." (1947) He also said "dice with the world" in a letter.

"Something deeply hidden had to be behind things." 1953.

For those of us who love astrology, this speaks to the interconnections of all things, in perfect order, from a past condition and toward a future purpose.

So I like him !

Hi Stellium,

A correction to your post.
Eienstein said ...

"does not places"
should read "does not plays"

I want to add to this post about my understanding of Einstein.

He is a great genius. He didn't believe in God. His thoughts concerning God playing dice with univers was blown out of proportion by religious people by claiming the greatest scientist believed in God.

In fact I think he may have have been an atheist.

Well those were my 2 cents

Einstein was not religious, but that does not mean he did not acknowledge things of a metaphysical sense, nor does that mean he did not believe in god. He did not believe in such things in a conventional sense.

" Although Einstein stated he was religious and that he believed in God, it was in his own specialized sense that he used these terms. Many are aware that Einstein was not religious in the conventional sense, but it will come as a surprise to some to learn that Einstein clearly identified himself as an atheist and as an agnostic. If one understands how Einstein used the terms religion, God, atheism, and agnosticism, it is clear that he was consistent in his beliefs."

If anyone likes to read biographies, or likes Einstein, read his official biography, kind of a thick paperback. It's really the only way I've found to get into the man's head, other than currently "knowing" a real-life Einstein.

If I had to pick ONE word to describe Einstein, it would be "SPIRITUAL". He was ahead of his time in that he was the first to establish scientific guidelines with regards to quantifying spirituality. HE IS and always will be the proverbial astrologer.

Einstein used to believe that everything has an order and you can prove it by equations.

He was proved wrong, by a German scientist Hiensenberg. (For thos who are interested, it basically tells that you cannot determine the space and speed of a particle accurately at a given point of time. If you are accurate in determining its location, there will be an error when you record its speed and vice vera. Hence scientists when they say the electon is here in an atom, they say 'the probability to find an electron here in this orbit is 75 percent')

His work was very valuable to a different branch of physics, which only relies on probability called quantum mechanics. Einstein refused to accept it and used the now famous sentence(God does not plays dice). Infact believe it or not Einstein got a noble prize for one of his experiments that had given momentum to this new branch of physics. I can imagine being in Einsteins shoes of getting a noble prize but deep inside feeling dissatisfied.

He continued to disprove the probabilistic theory and died before he could see the day. Even till this day nobody could disprove it.

Isn't it obvious, no one can understand God, only thru scientific methods . Or you may but you better be too good

I don't want to spawn a debate about scientists belief. They are doing a wonderful job by providing to humanity the fruits of inventions.

Someday may be the TRUTH will be revealed.

I wish I was a physicists, I could have studied matter and light thru the lens of a spiritualist

Really! Right now anyone can say they are a physicist. I'm a lot of things I don't have a piece of paper for.

To answer your question Libra Sparkle:

When I was 23 I decided to pursue a career that had promises to offer more money as I had obligations to family.

I had a choice to go with Physics or computer science.

I decided to take up computer science. Now I am 32. Its difficult to think of going back to school when I am so used to the luxury.

Besides science is discovering, what we can discover meditating in our bedroom

So I better pursue, meditation. Thats my ideology currently.
