i have noticed that i have a tendency to promise (to others and to my self) a lot but not deliver. is that anything to do with jupiter's placement or its aspects?

or is it ebcause of moon in sagittarius?

Jupiter and Sag influences tend to be overly generous, overly optimistic and overreaching. They also don't tend to be very stable or steadfast. So promises by such people are quite likely not to be much more than words, unless they have something to counteract that, like strong Saturn or earth sign influences.

I agree. Aquarius' can be that way too, or anyone who means well but over-estimated their human limitations - we are not machines. We'd probably all love to save the world and for everything to be happy.

Sometimes there are those who cannot say no, but that's not good either. You have to try to take one step at a time. Maybe you are too focused on the "end product" of your life instead of just enjoying the journey. You may have cultural pressures to "succeed", but there are so many other cultures like that here in the U.S. You should visit.

And then there are people like me you cannot fit into any category.

Anyways - Archer - the most important thing to remember right now is, if you've done that to someone, even if not on purpose, if they come back to you later to remind you APPRECIATE THEM. No one is obligated to approach you if you broke a promise.

hmmmm, I have Jup in Sag, 11th house, Moon and Asc. Aqua........is that why I'm such a flake? lol Actually, I've learned not to promise anything. I don't like the guilt of not being able to follow through if for what ever reason I am unable to complete the promise. I use "I'll try" and the word "tenative" ALOT.........I don't like to commit to anything. And thoughout the years have learned to tell others "no".

a.j: its about doing (commiting) to my self. i am too lazy and undetermined to follow a path i choose. staying power is nil. and i have observed this in other sags too.

gemini nymph: i have a saturn in scorpio and virgo asc.

aqua: i'm a double sag with vrigo asc.

OK -
So you don't like to travel. Ok - let me ask you this. If you had many many riches and money that was all yours, and you were free to do absolutely anything in the world you wanted to do, what would you love?

So forget about working to please your culture. Just do what you love - travel!

Find out everything there is to know on the Internet about traveling with little or no money. So much is for free out there.

thats not very practicle. besides, being an average indian i have lots of personal requirements to fulfill. like... earning enought to buy my own apartement, collecting enough for marriage (indian marriages are damn expensive), saving for children's education. sounds to far sighted but its some practical requirements that i have to fulfill.

travel for leisure comes in the end.

Hey Archer...

I seem to have the same problem, somewhat. I, too, am a double sag, libra moon and I have such a hard time committing myself to things that will help me get a little bit ahead in life. I've been in school now for 2 years, but I go part time, so it will be forever before I graduate it seems. I'm 27 now and I feel like my indecision/lack of ambition has set me back in life. The only thing I know is that I love English and I think I want to do something in editing, publishing and/or writing. Of course I don't know how close I'll come to any of this. In the meantime, I'm going to school for English and I just hope that following my heart will land me in the right place or at least the right direction. Best of luck to ya!

P.S. Another problem I had faced leading up to my enrollment in school was that I had no idea WHAT I wanted to do... not that I didn't want to do anything, more like I wanted to do everything! Feel free to talk to me more about this if you like!

hey future_uncertain...that should be my screen name! actually we sagittarians are wonderlust. our aims are spiritual and one of them is to find meaning of life. our aims are not material. if i was to sum up all the visions i have had about my future life then i would say my aim is to find a higher meaning of living.

and thus improve my standard of living.

we saggies are often misunerstood. we have the best focus in the zodiac but we require reason to do everything. besides like scoprio our focus is not under our control. its just comes out when we are doing some work which we like or like when we are debaitng.

my understanding of different states of the brain makes me believe that scorpio has beta state focus (when an individual is fully aware of the environment around yet focuses on the task in hand) whereas sagttarian focus is alpha state (when an individual is not aware of the environment and is completey lost in his work...like painting or driving on a lonely highway)

sag does commit. but not to practical stuff out there. first sag needs to know everything about his various targets and then he chooses one he likes which becomes his material or philosophical aim in life. then even the worst distractions don't bed his arrows. even if the do they turn out to hitsome other target with eqaual value.

scoprio aims material which inturn brings him good standard of living. sag directly starts living that standard whitout bothering for whether he has that matrial required. often we are extravagent.we jump a lot! practicality is not our piece of cake.

though i must add that pluto in sag is also a chance to become practical. it doesnot matter i u don't have an aim in life just keep the inner vision for a certain kind of life alive (and don't tell anybody what it is!).

btw, ur atleast doinf something...i'm idle for 2 and a half years now. i'll like to see ur natal chart.
