Also in my searches of the net I've found this Scorpio site with loads of articles etc and I believe there is also a section for scorpio rising but I can't quite locate it right now (am getting a bit sleepy) so incase there are other signs out there with Scorpio rising one might want to take a look. www.scorpiosite69.freeserve.co.uk

What a great description on such an odd pairing of strong influences (Sun/Asc). Wow - it IS an enigma by default!

I've got to say, I must have a bit of this "contradiction" in my Chart as well. Could this be why I constantly feel like a star caught in a black hole?

I have Mercury, Mars & Neptune in Scorpio, but a North Node in Leo.

(My Saturn in Capricorn Opposing my Moon in Cancer can make progress seem painfully SLOWWWW)

When I knew nothing about astrology, I read the description of the Leo personality in Linda Goodman's Sun Signs. She depicted Leo as a laid back pussycat whose bark is worse than their bite....maybe it should have been their roar is worse than their bite I thought she was way off the mark. I read a little further and she said...unless they are Scorpio rising, which I knew nothing about either.

Some would think people with this combination might be conflicted, their real nature Leo, being at odds and square with the personality they present to the world. Surprisingly, Leo and Scorpio Suns are mostly on the same page. Show them a situation and they will most often come to the same conclusions. The fight will be over who is in charge That is not a problem when this combination in contained in the same person. This person is aggressive and the aggressive natures of Leo and Scorpio are magnified by this pairing...just for starters. If there are other Leo or Scorpio planets in their chart, or Aries in a prominent location, like Mars, that's a magnification of their aggressive nature as well. If their Leo Sun is in a late degree, 20* or higher, they are also an Aries/Leo and if their Scorp rising is in a low degree, 0-10, they are pure undiluted Scorp in their Rising sign. All these factors weight towards an aggressive nature. This combination will bite, scratch, rip, fold, spindle and mutilate under certain conditions and there probably won't be much or any roaring or warning...other than a look and perhaps a "what did you say?" From what I know, this is an all or nothing at all personality...no half measures or half anything else. They like or dislike with intensity. The things which interest them, really interest them. For the rest, it might as well not exist.

If there is a chink in their armor, it's in the area of love relationships where they expect loyalty, fidelity and stability. You will fly very high in their sky and nothing is too good for you but if you ever betray them, plan to make a very large crater when you fall out of their sky...and you will fall, immediately. If they are in a love relationship, it's fixed and settled in their minds. Introducing doubts about the relationship, i.e., playing games with them is not likely to be accepted well. In fact, once it's settled, raising doubts in their minds might mean you only see their back as they walk away from you. This is not the suspicious Scorp personality. In fact Leo Sun/Scorp Rising is pretty trusting. Jar that trust and you will knock them off kilter...you will also pay a price so be sure the end of the relationship is what you want...very sure. If you wound them in this area, the decision as to what happens to the relationship will be made...by them and it's probably fini. If they cannot trust you, there is little likelihood they will have anything further to do with you. The same applies to business relationships and friendships too.

I tend to feel that I am ALWAYS feeling like a Scorpio, as a child and as an adult, but that Leo rising attracts people and I cannot get away from it. Drives my Scorpio soul crazy, not as much now as it used to when I was a teenager.

its my face. i just got me one of those faces that makes me look like everyone! everyone in the family says i look like one person or another. apparently i look like brandy, erika badu....err, a black version of helena christensen. HELLO!!these people could not look more different from each other if they tried.

But thats the face i got.
people wave at me all the time thinking i'm someone else and only the other day a lady came up to me in a queue and pinched my cheeks. Face cheeks. She was so embarrassed when she realised i was me...i had to feel for her, man. imagine the horror....i was just like i get that all the time.

i think its just cos i am comfortable in my skin and anywhere i am...always, even in less than desirable situations. i just accept it and think 'this too shall pass' so that must manifest somehow on my face.

ARRgghh, brain strain...too early for such analysis

It's a good thing in the end I think because we ARE friendly people. It would be nice though to have peace occasionally when out and about.

Angela - I understand what you mean about feeling like your in the spotlight all the time, I often feel like that. I used to wear flashy clothing, if flashy is the word for it (former goth kid here, no piercings/tattoos though!)and so for a while I did stick out something awful but I loved the attention (definitely the Leo in me) now I'm more conservative but I still get the lingering stares etc.

Id say the first description was most accurate. I definitely can sting. I try not to anymore but if someone I'm close with injures my pride... Yikes. I also have that strong mars placement in Aries and a Taurus moon.
