i have worked really hard to educate myself and i feel more confident in this the older i get.ironicaly:

Hello all,

I found this:

BORN approximately 1938-40 AND 1968-70
Saturn Return in Aries

If you were born with Saturn in Aries, the issues during your Saturn Return will be about relationships with men, issues of aggression and dependency, competition, physical activity, the balance of power within heterosexual relationships, curbing impetuosity and temper, and the amount of adventure you allow into your life.

You can go here to look up your sign: http://www.bemyastrologer.com/saturn_return_in_aries.html

Bless you for sharing the Nancy Fenn link! She is not only a generous astrologer, attuned and devoted to clarifying the intriguing Saturn Return issue, she is also a sensitive and supportive coach and has written many important (self-help) articles on the nature of introvertion. I can use her brilliant, empowering ideas to help support the many introverts in the business world who get short schrift... as well as my scorp. asc., virgo sun, moon aquarius little boy who is struggling with his macho, alpha-male classmates and simply needs respect and space.

Hi, I would appreciate anyone's comments on my Saturn placement - In cancer in the 5th house.

But I also have a Cancer moon in the 4th house.

Would the two influences not clash horribly??

thanks.

I've got Saturn in Leo, 3rd House.

(From Bob Marks)

quote:
Saturn in the Third House: Communications tend to be cautious and restrained. This placement may actually indicate some sort of speech impediment, at least in youth. Communications tend to be important, too important. This can easily cause a dislike of small talk, and a fear of saying the wrong thing so that the person with this placement winds up saying nothing at all. The mind inclines to be too serious. These folks are the kind who will sit by themselves at a party and think "How can I be here having fun when I have all this serious work to do?". Lighten up. You’ll be healthier. Still, the mind is constructive and organized, even if it tends to be a bit slow (haste makes waste). If there are siblings, the older ones were more likely to pick on you, and the younger ones were probably a burden (perhaps you had to take care of them).

That is SO NOT me... except that I had to take care of my siblings. I was almost a mother to them.

There seem to be a few Saturn in III's here, mine is there conjunct my Libra Sun.....

Interesting interpretation in the previous post:

"Saturn in the Third House: Communications tend to be cautious and restrained. This placement may actually indicate some sort of speech impediment, at least in youth. Communications tend to be important, too important. This can easily cause a dislike of small talk, and a fear of saying the wrong thing so that the person with this placement winds up saying nothing at all. The mind inclines to be too serious."

I struggled when I was young to correctly pronounce "S", I guess you could call it a lisp. That was an intriguing factoid. As for the-mind-inclines-to-be-too-serious thing, I can identify with that -- HALF the time (I'm a Libra, remember!). But III is the House of Communication, ruled by Gemini. "Cautious", "restrained" and "dislike of small talk" don't strike me as being attributes of either Air sign!

Another quote:

"Sun Conjunct Saturn: You have a mature and often somber demeanor. You are serious, reserved, self-disciplined, highly responsible and conscientious. You advance in life rather slowly, through your own efforts and persistence. You are also rather stern and judgmental, especially with yourself. Cautious and careful, it is difficult for you to really let go, to be spontaneous and playful. You like to be in control of yourself."

This is SO NOT-ME! I know it's meant for intercharts, but Linda says in Relationship Signs that Sun conj Saturn can be helpful or unfortunate, that Saturn can "sit on" or hold down the Sun's enthusiastic desire to move forward.

Does anyone have a few words of wisdom or speculation on what lessons a 3rd House Saturn in Libra might have to undergo??

Thx 1,000,000,
'zala
