LOL Pix!

Very brave Eleanore..Thanks for the post!!!!
*watch out for the flying poop! Dave's got a good backhand.

I'm off to FFA as soon as I can get out of this thread.

Eleanore!!!! Great info. Thank you.

If you were born on a cusp, you will find that you have qualities of the two signs that you straddle. The sign that you were actually born under, however, will always have the stronger influence.

Awesome. That's what I've always thought.

I too think the decanates do hold alot of significance.

quote:
However, no matter how much you divide and subdivide a sign, the main ruler and influence is of the sign you are dealing with ... Aries is Aries is Aries no matter where you land on Aries. You may be Aries modified by Jupiter with a hint of Venus, but you're still Aries. And besides, there are so many more prominent factors to consider in a natal chart than decanates that the probability of them having an overriding influence is negligible.

I agree not 51% but 101%.

Haha I'll throw poop at my father too!

BTW, I bet you would be feeling that aspect already. I think I read somewhere that you can start to feel the "slow movers" like Saturn about three degrees before they reach aspect.

YAY! I just realized that my Saturn square only lasts for another month and a half...it's funny because, I was talking to my friend Dave earlier about life in general...and he doesn't know anything about astrology, and he said, "my opinion is that deep changes are taking place in you; the woman that emerges from all this change is a new woman." Neato, eh?!

Very neato! What a wise observation for him to make! I'd have to say I agree.

LOL! 26taurus,

Yeah, I thought you might like the pizza analogy. I got no qualms with pizza myself, but I know better than to deprive a hungry bull girl of her fair share ((that being the greater)).

vtt - Here's to the new woman! Cheers!

And would somebody please tell Dave to put down that poop?
He's making me nervous.

There's that thing. Oh ... what's it called, when you look at the Degree the Sun is in and it becomes part of an interpretation based on dividing the 30 degrees further. Brain fart. Cannot remember what it's called this second. Something "symbols"?

I know you know what I mean.

Don't think I've ever seen one based on the House Degrees. But interesting!! Let's look into it, maybe we'll find something!

Honestly, with the house cusps it'd be nice to know the hands down way to interpret those...my sun sits so close to the end of the 5th house, and I have to keep the interpretations for both the 5th and 6th house since i don't know whether astro.com is just being too lenient. I read them, and 6th house sounds a lot like me, but I have a loaded 6th house anyway. I read 5th house and go "no effing way" but I have a lot of squares to my Venus that is in the same house which would render my Sun in 5th house interpretations pretty much useless anyway. This is why I get confused!

VTT, you could also feel more like a Sun in the 6th house depending on where your progressed sun is. When you were about 2 or 3 the sun had probably progressed into the sixth and that makes sense as to why you never really felt like a 5th house sun. Also include other factors into your chart and it makes even more sense. By now, depending on how big your sixth house is, your progressed sun could even be in the 7th.

Hi'ya!

In as much as I do understand the Sun placement not being of 2 signs at once, that it is either 29* or, 0*, it's been my, personal, experience that Gemini is actually not as easy for me to relate to as Taurus. In fact, before really getting deeper into astrology, I rarely even glanced at a Gemini horoscope, I only referenced Taurus. Since learning that there are many layers to a horoscope, I can identify my Sun influence but, it does feel incredibly diluted. Now, if I am absorbing anything correctly, it would be my guess that, because my Sun is in my 7th House,( that being a Taurus cusp), and it is conjunct a very overpowering Venus, because the 7th is the Domicile of Venus and she rules Taurus, my Sun has been ' overthrown '. Added to that is the 3rd /9thHouse interception and Mercury being, not only, conjunct my Sun( from Taurus )at a 3 degree orb, roughly,.... and I can't recall if that would constitute ' combust ' or not, it is also retrograde! Then there is that Ascendent, Scorpio and some more water in 4th House Pisces Moon .... but, that rambling, in all reality, does nothing except confuse. I feel connected through my Sun's House placement, not the sign... identify moreso to Venus than Mercury.

K, sorry ' bout the ' connect the planetary dots' kind of post,... I'm gettin' outta ' Poo-Ville ' .....

Yes! Thank you Heart-shaped Cross ... Sabian Symbols. Is anyone here curious to know more about them, in case you do not already?

There's a few really good links out there with a good list. So that within EACH SEGMENT of the Wheel, and therefore, within each SIGN, there are incredible differences. So that you'll find interpretations for a Libra Sun at 17 Degrees, and one for Libra Sun at 03 Degrees, and they will be totally different, however, still Libra.

Does anyone know of a "sabian symbol" of the Cusps?

26T that makes total sense! with all my Venus squares and a few Sun squares I think it wipes out the happy 5th house feeling. And yup! My progressed Sun is in my 6th house still (my 6th house is kind of a fatty haha)!

We use the Sabian's everyday. The site that we go to is www.sabiansymbols.com and, it is possible there to look up each degree seperately, to see it's message. It explains how to utilize the symbols, as well because, the Sabian's are numbered from 1Aries(#1) to 30Pisces(#360). Zero, of the signs, is not. Therefore, one must round up so, if your Sun is positioned at 0* Leo, reference would then be made to #121 or #1Leo. Zero becomes one, one becomes two, two becomes three etc.... If you choose to, you can, also, then use your second #. So, say your Sun is at 0* Leo 57'; automatically, because of the differing number systems used, your Sun's Sabian is #121(#1Leo)but, when your second # is then thrown into it..., it would give Sabian Symbol #122(#2Leo). If anyone takes a peek at the site, there is a blog by the Author, check it out... WOW!!!
