Yeah, well, you know Natasha, I have a very hard time with anyone telling me what I should be doing, even well-meaning astological interpretations. It's that Aqua Mars trine 1st Uranus connection that make me want to tell people to f' off when they try to instruct me on what they think I should be doing. And with 1st house Pluto squaring my Gem Mercury on the MC, I usually do. LOL. I've never claim to be a cooperative or compliant sort of person, y'know.

Actually, I can do therapy well, and with my Gemini MC, I'm great at tutoring/teaching children with learning disablities and emotional disorders, which often incooperates therapuetic techniques of instruction to help them cope with their disabilities. It also requires an instructor to be flexible and inventive, which I am. If fact I'm a natural at it. But it's not really my passion, although I'm deeply sympathetic to people with LDs and EDs, especially kids. My passions tend to be more with music, writing, and telling people to f' off.

I do have a natural theraputic demeanor with animals, which is why I'm so good with sick or distressed animals, including feral or wild ones. It was my childhood passion to become a vet, before I got distracted by music (which I do have a sort of therapuetic appraoch toward, come to think of it), and I still want to work with feral cat trap-neuter-release programs, althugh my time's too tight right now. Interestingly I also have a fixed star conjunct my ASC which, so legend has it, is suppose to endow me with the ability to tame wild beasts when in that palcement...although I forget which star it is...which ever one that's around 15 Virgo.

GN, that is why I said, everyone will have to connect their own dots, it's impossible to tell what other people like to do, but it's a significant indicator of hidden talents-whether or not they are developed or not. My Virgo midheaven must like seeing what's hidden.

I think the working with wild animal occupation is a good one, and is certainly fascinating. I mean if I knew someone who did this for a living I would be impressed with her/his strength of purpose.
Sounds like a talent, a passion?

Hey don't be afraid to mention what you would like to do for a living too,

Kat, certainly your work would come before the public, the 7th rules partnerships, management, sales, working with others.

If the sixth ruler is in the 11th than large institutions, and corporations would be fascinating, there is a group focus. Ambitious, and dedicated to the group. in Cancer, there is a softer focus, you may work in someone's home.

I can't tell you how many people I know who have their ruler in the 7th who are involved in the beauty profession. This covers so many professions I can't even begin.

Natasha I agree, especially since what has been calling me to work on lately is not anywhere near my 6th house. In fact if you look at my progressed chart it's right on my ASC! People could probably argue it's Mercurial stuff, but I think it's more of the Gemini sort than Virgo. Also I would think the 10th house is a big factor into occupation.

My 6th House Cusp is in Libra >
Libra's Ruling Planet is Venus >
My Venus is in my 4th House.

Wow. I hadn't noticed this. Usually, when you read interpretations for a Cancer Mooner like me, it will mention we would prefer to work from home. But add to this the above information, and it's true. Home and service. My MC in Aquarius can make it even more possible, especially since the MC's Ruling Planet Uranus is in Leo in my 4TH HOUSE!! Not to mention a Chiron in Pisces in my 10th.

(Brings up a bit of a sore point for me regarding family. Too bad I could not find my place among them, but I suppose I am destined instead to be a child of the universe. A nurturer to the world-at-large moreso than to just one person, or just one family. Helps to be a writer!)

VirgoTaurus, yes
the 10th is significant too-not just the house but much it weighs in your chart overall.

I know two people whose rulers are in Virgo, they must work for someone else or they will not be happy, I say this because Virgo now has a special place in their chart, and Virgo is about service towards others. One doesn't listen-and his ruler is in the 6th, and he works for himself but he's losing money all the time.

I am looking at someone's chart who has Libra on the cusp, but the ruler is in Scorpio-she works in plastic surgery for a living giving people botox. Yet it's in the sixth so she always needs to work for others, loves structure, and would never work on her own. Her Venus is also conjunct her DC, it's her life's work, she has never wanted to do anything else, and it works out for her.

If she asked me I would say always work for the same people because she needs structure.

When the ruler is in the 4th I see an inheritance or some kind of possibility coming from the family, there can be hurt feelings if it is ignored or if a family business is given the brush off.

Right now I'm a substitute teacher, although I do a lot of subbing for Spec Ed classes, because that's easy for me. I have a erratic work history - the whole process of earning of paycheck is hard on me. I have no talent for money. Most of the things I enjoy doing I can't earn a paycheck with, at least not yet, and I don't have generous patrons to support me in following my passions. I have poor friends who encourage me lot in other, ways and a bitter family who see me as a failure and a burden. So I have to deal with jobs that doesn't really suit me as long as I can tolerate it, and then I move on to something else.

Gemini Nymph..

LOL...you must be my Astro twin..polar opposite and all..

I am also a Virgo rising, Pluto in the 1st (conjuncting my Asc) and Uranus in the 1st (in Libra).

Aquarius is the ruler of my 6th house and, like you, I have my NN and Mars in the 6th house.

I can see problems easily and offer guidence, but in my own life I sometimes can't see the forest for the trees. Like you, I have this bond with animals, I won't let friends stand in the way of what is right / just..etc...

With Uranus and Pluto in the 1st, I can be dynamic, unique and then mysterious and prone to wanting to exert power at times.

I have used both in my work life and work is a passion. I can abide by a semi-structured work enviroment, but I tend to do better when I can come and go as I please. Actually, when I am given a long leash, I work harder, more hours and I am extremely punctual. When I am told that I HAVE to be in at 8:30 and can only take a 15 minute break - yet I am expected to do 12 hours worth of work, but don't expect any overtime pay..LOL..I am outta there...

I have also found that my certain Uranus in the 1st house...ummm..I guess Charisma...sometimes doesn't mesh well with my fiance's 1st house Sun. He sometimes feels I am getting too much attention.. do you find that to be true in your life?

6th House Cusp in Aries
Aries ruling planet is Mars
Mars in Aries in the 6th house

Typical job would involve trouble shooting. Sounds like a good placement for a hit-man

I don't have any planets there but the sign on the Cusp is in Pisces, then natally I have Neptune Cappi 3rd house.

I love dreaming, books & poetry (reading or writing), painting, drawing, playing piano (music), entertainment, spirituality, the ocean (I used to want to be the 1st person to discover a living giant squid in the abyss)lol I'm really facinated with deep sea creatures for some reason.
and did I mention dreaming?

Hmmmm... this is interesting, but a little confusing for me.

6th = Gemini = Mercury
Mercury is in 1st.

Does this mean I like communicating about me?! I hope it means more than this!

I have a passion for writing, reading, photography and women's studies. I'm not sure if this matches up with my info...

Interesting!

Not sure I did this right...but I know I have my Sun and Mercury in in the 6th...both in Leo.

Really unsure about what this means. All I know is that most people tell me I should be working in the arts or in some other "creative" profession. I don't...my handle tells you what I do.

Can you just bite your tongue? Er... fingers? Or say it in a politically proper way?
See.. Pid knows it takes intelligence to come up with a putdown that goes under the radar.
You use the verb/adjective/noun that the average third grader knows.
Real effin' original, and it keeps getting you in trouble.
I know you will quote exactly what I said ( without quotations) and say.. "Oh, was I talking to you? Stop stalking me."
And to that I take a page from your book and say~

Oh.. and the "We" has arrived.
And will continue as long as you continue being a weenie wierdo with no life.

That statement is because I like it here, and don't want to tell you to eff off even though I kinda' do.. even though I can't really be bothered.

My 6th house cusp is in Leo, and the Sun is the ruler of Leo...

The odd thing is my natal Sun, which is in Libra is also in the 6th house... Along with Mercury in Libra in the 6th house. Then I also have Venus and Mars in Virgo in the 6th house also.

Yeah, it’s safe to say I have quite an active 6th house.

I have been interested in everything from Law to Psychology...to Business. The thing is I can see myself pursuing either field and seeing myself being happy in either career.

I’ve always felt that I was meant to go into the Law field, and that’s what I am going to be pursuing... Six years of education -- here I come! There’s that damn 6 popping up again... I cannot seem to get rid of it, can I... lol
