What is the ruler of your Sixth house? Example, Sagittarius is the sign on the cusp (beginning) of the 6th House (work) and the ruler, Jupiter, is in Scorpio/5th House-the work links storytelling and creativity.

Wow I'd definitely like Mercurial pursuits then, as I have Virgo on my 6th house cusp. And my Mercury just happens to be in my 6th house (In Libra)! Communications? I did go to college for radio...IP: Logged |

6th House cusp is Aquarius -- no planets in that house. Uranus is in Cancer in XI. Does this indicate that my work will be with large groups of friends?!?IP: Logged |

Hmm, my 6th house cusp is in Aqua, with both my NN and Mars there too. It's a powerful house in my chart, actually.My Uranus is in the first, and is part of an air trine that includes my Aqua Mars in the 6th. I've always know there was a pretty intense connection between my 1st and 6th houses. It seems that my 6th house has no problems exerting its influence via the 1st. I have intense "passion" for justice and principles. I value friendships deeply, but they don't ever stand in my way of following what I believe is right and just. I'm a humanitarian, but really in a very universal "big picture" sense. I tend to think in broad, universal terms, and hate judementality and biases based in more subjective narrow-mindedness. And I have to be persuaded by logic - sentimentality and emotional appeal repel me, if they effect me at all. I also pride myself with being very cerebral, very individualistic, creative, unconventional and original...if I couldn't be those things, I'd probably hang myself this minute. Really. I couldn't see life being worth it if I couldn't fight against the grain and be my own person. So I guess I'm pretty passionate about that as well. LOL. IP: Logged |

Gemini is on the cusp of my 6th House...and Mercury (the ruler) is in Scorpio in the 10th. I do seem to have Mercurial ambitions career-wise...but Mercury is anorectic...and I tend to have these frequent crises. Uranus is the only planet in the 6th House...I've always had kind of strange pets, strange health problems that no one can help me with...and an unstable work history.IP: Logged |

Nobody else can interpret this for you, since only you know what you do for a living, or would like to do, but you can figure out why you like what you do with this formula-The trines and so on just confuse the issue,
Say your Sixth is ruled by Gemini,
Okay Mercury is in the 9th in Taurus.
Your overall occupation is going to be a Gemini one, communicating, but your focus will be the 9th house, publishing, law, and as you get older, the focus will be more and more on 9th house pursuits-the Sag influence will make you want to change career paths more frequently or make ambitious and self starting, the overall occupation is what other people will see, but the house and planet is your individual focus or dream. You may start out as a Gemini influenced individual, and then the Sag influence takes over slowly as it's a strength. Another example, Say Venus is the ruler of the 6th, your job will always be about making beautiful things, or managing others, but the house will tell you where your talent is. If it's in the 4th house, home renovation or rental income will be a plus as you get older. As you can see the house and planet are your hidden strengths, With Aqua on the 6th, therapy would be an excellent occupation, Uranus in Cancer in the 1st deals with boundaries and self initiative. So with Cap ruling the sixth, my saturn is in the 7th. So partnerships/relationships are my focus and considering the 7th house (Libra's house, mine is Aqua rule) later on I could expect this to be a greater influence. Sounds like I'll have an Aqua type business partner??I'll think about this
