I think Eddie Vedder is a Capricorn isnt he? I was wondering if anyone knows anything else about his chart? I was watching an MTV unplugged gig from 1992 (Ive watched this about a million times). He seems so intense and angelic at the same time, Im very drawn to him, and the bit where he takes off his cap and his hair falls down......................mmmm hail the angry young man x

I think I read somewhere that he has a sagittarius moon, I don't know for sure tho. The profile below sounds like him a lot i think...

10-9 Capricorn/Sagittarius
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces a high-powered physical and mental person. Your energies, at times, seem boundless. This is a strange pairing of strict discipline with bold enthusiasm and idealism. The openness and outgoing attitude that Moon in Sagittarius brings is a fine complement to the often morose and easily depressed nature of Capricorn, producing a somewhat worldly-wise personality that handles self and others with the greatest of ease. You love the camaraderie of getting together with the gang, becoming involved in a multiplicity of interests and activities. But success and attainment in life may depend on development of concentration and encouragement of staying power in maintaining your drive and purpose. You are a traveler at heart, and your restless nature has a need to be on the go all the time, either physically or mentally. With the enthusiasm you naturally possess, reckless expenditure of energies can be a problem. You do have a lot of ambition, and you can be both political and direct in going after your objectives; diplomatic or shrewd, as well as frank and sincere. Using either approach, you are instinctively honest and truthful. You are a very expressive person with high ideals and a keen sense of values. A good mentality and quick wit give you a way with words. The development of this ability can be a major key to success. You must be aware that your words do have impact on others, especially the sensitive types who you may offend with your very direct speech. Although you are a broad and inclusive person with strong humanitarian instincts, in many ways you are a little picky when it comes to friends and close relationships. You insist that those you associate with be intellectually compatible, and when you find yourself in the company of people you consider intellectually inferior, you are not at all comfortable. Companionship is very important to you, but intellect is usually placed ahead of sentiment. This is a very powerful and achievement oriented combination. It is one in which enthusiasm blended with serious purpose and realistic understanding of values, can assure a great deal of success.

Virgo Mars CNJ Pluto is the key. Singing with that passion, but also, I bet, he quietly asserts his authority so things get done his way.

I've got your number, pal.

....oh and look, it's Square Mercury. I've got Mars Square Mercury, I know what that is all about, got to say your piece. With Pluto? Got to express his feelings, got to have his way.

Not sure about the Moon. Rising sign anyone?

Any ideas on his ASC? Over time, I've thought different ones fit. The one I've been going with lately is Cancer. I'm complete sh1t at guessing ASC from appearance, so for this I'm going more by what seems to make the most sense for him psychologically.

I made a chart for him using a late Cancer ASC. That put Neptune in his 4th house, which makes sense to me because of the deception about his real dad's identity.

I also want something that puts his Moon far enough along in Virgo to be conj his Uranus (he screams Moon-Uranus to me), but also still early enough in Virgo for his Moon to be part of a t-square, opposing Saturn and square Venus. I'll eat my hat if he doesn't have that t-square.

A Cancer ASC would make the Moon his chart ruler, further emphasizing that t-square and his Uranian traits.

And if he has that t-square, then the wide trine to Jupiter offers a way through that tension. His bravado and daring out in the world has helped him cope with that inner turmoil.

That ASC would also put his Venus and Mercury in his 5th house, which makes sense for someone in the arts.

I've tried other charts that also make sense to me, but for now I'm definitely thinking Cancer.

Chris Cornell's astro info: (Time is unknown so Moon isn't exact.)

Sun 28°03' Cancer
Moon 15°31' Sagittarius
Mercury 20°23' Leo
Venus 21°54' Gemini
Mars 23°15' Gemini
Jupiter 21°24' Taurus
Saturn 4°03' Pisces
Uranus 7°50' Virgo
Neptune 15°04' Scorpio
Pluto 12°26' Virgo
Chiron 18°02' Pisces
Ceres 25°05' Sagittarius
Pallas 18°30' Scorpio
Juno 19°40' Scorpio
Vesta 19°02' Pisces
Node 0°40' Cancer
Lilith 20°58' Sagittarius
Fortune 25°46' Aquarius

I always thought he was hot. We have some pretty good synastry, better than what I have with Eddie. My Juno is exactly cnj his Sun. Maybe I should dump Gerry for him.

Is anyone still interested in this topic? I'm trying to figure out Eddie Vedders rising sign. I've looked all over for a birth time, but no luck. I'm thinking Scorpio rising?

I guess Eddie's Ascendant to be Sagittarius or Leo, maybe Libra. He definitely makes a strong impression, is demonstrative, and I think he has a Fire Ascendant because of this.

As far as his chart, he has a lot of Virgo and Sagittarius, making him self-critical, methodical, hard-working (Cap Sun), but expansive (Sag influence).

Also, he has no Air in his chart, which would make sense that he can come across shy in interviews, sometimes nonverbal, or seems like he is locked in his own world. I always related to this aspect of him, since I have the same thing. Fiona Apple is another person with no Air in her chart.

That's funny you mentioned the Unplugged performance where he throws his hat off and his hair falls down. His actions definitely remind me of a Leo Rising, also as he's gotten older, he looks like a lion.

I think Eddie harbored internal conflict and appears in his own shell at times because of his lack of air. But actually, I think he is a pretty earthy, balanced individual. He is very pragmatic and logical if you look up interviews with him now and even how he performs now. He seems smart about preserving his voice as he has gotten older and seems to lead a very healthy lifestyle.

I don't want to say Eddied feigned the whole tortured young man thing, but I think he played it up most definitely. Eddie was a good actor when he was younger.

Any lead singer does a degree of acting. Yet I think Kurt Cobain was genuinely in emotional turmoil. If you look at the difference in their charts, it is telling. Kurt was a clear introvert (no fire, little air) according to his astrology, but with much more water than Eddie. Kurt had a Pisces Sun and Cancer Moon. I think Kurt's emotion was raw, honest, and his well ran very deep compared to many people in the entertainment field. Kurt was highly emotionally driven, whereas I feel Eddie is more reactive to his audience and concrete.
