There were times where I wanted to end my life because I was so sick of the bullsh1t. I believe my purpose in life is to be happy and give my happiness to others and be an example for them proving that no matter how hopeless and impossible life may seem that this is temporary and that there is something beautiful in store for them as long as they want it badly enough and feel worthy of it. Last semester in school went really well, mostly cuz me and Mr. Virgo weren't fighting all of the time. And yep I'm stillll with him! We're actually doing better and better with time. It's been a matter of understanding his earthiness through my Taurus Moon and Virgo Mercury and well he has no fire really, so we're still working on him understanding me Thanks for asking sweets. What do mean by having your sh!t together? Personally I feel it is more internal, like being able to Love yourself and others. If you mean materialistically...well some people don't care so much about how much money they're making or that they make a name for themselves in the world. I'm planning on going for my PHD, getting Bachelor's right now in Psych, so that I can combine it with my favorite spiritual teachings and practice Spiritual Psych. I did not mention that I want a degree to brag (sometimes its not worth bragging about), I just wanted to show you that I have some material aspirations for myself as well. Who said it had to be either or? No matter what you think, we all depend on each other and this world would be much better off if more people cared and loved those around them. Sure it sounds corny, but I don't care, its true. I do not need validation from other people that I have purpose. As a matter of fact, I don't need to feel much of a purpose to be happy. I am what I am and I'm here for a reason and thats good enough for me to know. Helping people just makes me happy. I feel in my heart that I born to do it. It is a part of myself that I cannot seperate and I would never dream of it. If I feel it's part of what gives me a sense of meaning in life, who are you to say otherwise? You are not me and don't feel what I feel, as Aries-Chick said so well. If anything I feel all the healthier for being this way. I don't just take from the world, I give back. IP: Logged

I get that you don't agree with a person validating themselves through helping others, but I think that is only a small group of people. I certainly wouldn't call them annoying for it either, I can think of MUCH more annoying ways to be. I just think you should apologize for being so insensitive about the way you said that. It seems in other posts that you can be a nice person, so what happened here? Did you not think that was offensive? Sometimes theres a fine line between honesty and just plain being rude.. Personally I feel you crossed it. Perhaps you should consider how your honesty affects others? Just a suggestion.. You know you would make a great traditional Psychiatrist/ Philosopher... who believe we help others only when they're externally rewarded and there really is no such thing as altruism. It's obviously not one of your purposes in life and thats fine. I guess thats why we talk of purposes as if they are unique to us because not everyone feels the same way or was born with the same gifts. And yes I do feel it's one of my gifts. Maybe yours is philosophy or becoming well known and successful, mine is Love I can see you cringing now as you read this, haha. edited OKay I'm kicking myself off now to get some stuff done. When I read your posts I think to myself, that girl is going places. Youre going to be very successful, I can feel it. Already are, I'm sure! Glad to hear that things are going well with you and Mr Virgo. I hope he knows what a lucky guy he is. Also, I wanted to say that I admire the way you dont allow yourself to get pulled into the negativity that happens here sometimes. Yes, still loving Osho! Speaking of him, I think it was cancerrg that asked me why I dont like MotherTheresa. I really dont want to take the thread that way or get into an argument, so, if you do a little googling on Osho and Mother Ther. you will find some of his thoughts on her.
