Pisces…evolved - that’s gonna upset the people who don’t like us lol The one’s I know seem to be.

Perhaps I should explain this whole evolution thing - seeing I’ve confused some

Let me use my family as an example. Now in every family there’s a sort of hierarchy - some can get away with murder, while others can’t. My family isn’t really that dramatic though.

There’s usually a few who are “in charge” and can do and say whatever they want..

Most don’t really want to get involved, and turn a blind eye. Not my mum lol - she’ll say what she wants, when she wants. And it’s always the TRUTH!! She says what no one else has the guts to say.

My Gemini uncle is exactly the same, only he lacks my mother’s charm and gets into trouble for it lol but he doesn’t really care.

If anyone ever stands up to my family’s “system”, it’s usually an air sign. All the other elements stay quiet.

The same thing happened during school and with family friends. Certain people are just allowed to do as they please. It’s so stupid, a person can preach about how homicide should be made legal - and everyone else applauds and claims that they’re a revolutionary and the only person ( in my experience ) to stand up and say “No this isn’t revolutionary…it’s psychotic” is an air sign.

OK that’s OTT but you get what I mean.

It’s like that in my family. The air signs are the only one’s with enough guts to go against the “hierarchy” - not all though.

Someone who’s considered “important” can say whatever they want while everyone seems to follow blindly. And it’s usually an air sign ( or this one Virgo - can’t remember her birthday though ) who stands against it.

If this person is considered “unimportant” then they go down for their words if they’re “important”, people will actually have the audacity to switch sides

Their excuse to follow blindly?

*in eight year old voice*
“we’re friends”

*reads between the lines and translates”
“to strengthen social bonds in order to move up the ladder”

Do these people not use their brain? Yes - but that’s not the point. The point is, the only person who seems to have the guts to stands up against this “hierarchy”…is usually an air sign. They appear to be anything but sheep.

This isn’t to suggest air signs don’t take part in this “system”, but in my experience they’re the only one’s who can see right through it and actually use their brains to think for themselves - instead of following blindly.

And to me, that is evolved. To break away from this social hierarchy that apes follow to “maintain order” and keep everyone “in their place”.

Note: not ALL air signs are like this - so don’t jump down my throat.

God this all sounds so dramatic. It’s just that during high school I was part of a social “hierarchy” who did unforgivable things to really sweet girls - and NO ONE said anything. I hate that I was like that, and I hate anyone who is like that. I guess hate isn’t very evolved.

Sorry about the long post.

Nurse Neptune ~

I think your hypothesis is fascinating. The study of human societies and "pecking order" is an intriguing one. Maybe in this thread you were trying to point out that in the pecking orders you have had personal experience with, that Airy people seemed to be the ones bucking the system, standing up to the bullies, and in general departing the beaten path to carve their own. I like your observation and it works astrologically, but IMO there is a problem with using the word "evolved" for that definition of behavior -- a sensitive word-button which cannot be used indiscriminately, as we have seen in all the replies here!
GP HC Zala sees no inflammatory issue here, other than a semantics one. Perhaps for many people here, "evolved" has come to mean a sort of spiritual superiority, which I don't think is what you meant here.....
Perhaps some definitions --
Evolve:
2 a : DERIVE, EDUCE
b : to produce by natural evolutionary processes
Evolution:
2 a : a process of change in a certain direction : UNFOLDING
b : the action or an instance of forming and giving something off : EMISSION
c (1) : a process of continuous change from a lower, simpler, or worse to a higher, more complex, or better state
Hang in there sweetie, I think you're on the right track. But beware of painting with such a broad brush!

I agree, the word evolved is very controversial. Linda did use that word when she was writing her books, in the 60s was it?

Evolution is such a broad category. Encompasses so many things.. Are we talking about being evolved on a spiritual, metaphysical, practical every day matters??? I mean there are so many levels! I cannot really say an Air sign is more evolved than water, fire, or earth sign... but then again, I have a difficult time giving concrete answers since my Libra moon forces me to keeping weighing all the sides of an argument till the very last second!
Sun: aquarius, Moon: libra, Asc: Capri

to the forum aquarius_girl! Nice to see another Moon in Libra around here, will be looking forward to your posts.....

Jeez, DD ~

Sure made me cringe when you wrote "when Linda was writing her books, in the 60s was it?" LOL! I can remember when Sun Signs came out in 1968 -- I picked it up in the early 70's.....

NM ~

Please take a look at the topic I posted for future_uncertain about Pluto in the 10th House -- it has some great stuff about pecking orders in it.....

Welcome aquarius_girl

I think around the 60s people were starting to notice the influence and power some words have...like evolution, and evolved, or progress for instance. I was born at the end of the 70s ...but I can imagine how it was then

i dont think the initial post meant 'evolved' as in the way the term is used biologically. but i do think that each element has its own advantage. personally i am always impressed by the intellectual work and advances of water and air signs, but maybe that is because i am air/water (gem/scorp)! and i understand those things and give them importance. for example,

one of the brightest people to me, in terms of intellectualism, is John Maynard Keynes, who helped shape almost the entire field known as macroeconomics today. take an advanced microecon and ur brain will spin. this man was truly amAZing, he thot of stuff AND put it into action, that most people could never even dream of....it could be said he singlehandedly pulled the US out of the great depression coz he wrote to fdr during the depression and fdr based his new deal policies on keynes' letter....he developed modern economics really. besides which he was extensively involved in poetry, literature, politics, and travel and writing.

keynes was a gem sun (5 planet stellium in gemini, ack, along with 3 planets in taurus, leo rising, giving his sun elevated importance).

other personal favorites on the intellectual plane are: William Faulkner in literature (Libra), William Shakespeare for lit (Pisces), Albert Einstein (Pisces), Lewis Caroll (Aqua)

surprisingly, or not, theyre all air and water. the one exception i can think of is Kahlil Gibran, who is Cappy i believe.

so, for me, in purely intellectual terms, yes air signs are v impressive, v symbolic of the highest intellectual achievements. this does not undermine the achievements and contributions of other elements. it is quite clear for anyone to see.

my chart is chock full of air signs and planets that rule air signs being prominent, and i do feel that what i preach to people is really evolved and ahead of the times (that could be the uranus conjunct ascendant that i have, though), even if i personally can't always live it out 100%. the problem is that i TRY to live it out, but it's not easy, which is why so many air sign people like...withdraw from the real world and live in the world of intellect. which i tend to do. that's right, whoever said having way too many air signs is impractical...you are right. especially when i have uranus on the ascendnat too so i don't want to be tied down to anything for too long.

anyway i actually just started a post kind of related to this about having a libra and aquarius combo with your sun, moon, or ascendant, and how it makes you relate to lots of people and understand them but still be really detached from humanity and how that isn't easy....yeah.

anyway so i agree with you and by the way libra sun, venus in libra, aquarius moon, uranus conjunct asceandnt, 3 planets including sun and mercury in the 11th house, venus conjunct midheaven...i'm all about those air signs.

Hi Secret!!

Can you put his pic in your LL Photoshop album? I was just there today & saw you have a couple of pics up.....I have some foggy idea how to post into the forum: if your pic link has a url you can do , or if you right click on the picture and choose Properties from the pop-up menu you can highlight and past the url between the . Hope this helps!

Would like to try and guess Mr Aries Asc! I did up a quickie chart for him at astro.com for noon and it came up Cancer Rising. If he was born much earlier in the morning you may have a lovely Sun-Moon conjunction!

Talk to ya soon! I've noticed that if you go in and try to edit someone else's post you can see the url's of pics/objects -- here, I'll put one in....
