Hi WhaleW I would be pretty jealous and a bit nervous myself, but as you havent shied away from telling her, or just said "We're just friends!!" and thats it!!! then I know I'de feel a bit better. Just tell her exactly what happened in a very matter of fact manner, tell her in detail, then say how that girls just a close friend who you'll miss alot, and how much you love the Scorp and how much she means to you and that you would never dream of cheating on her, and even for some stupid reason you did you would be completley honest with her and never forgive yourself. For me anyway I would feel alot better! Make sure you look deep in her eyes and say it very sincerly, then be very affectionate with her and Im sure she'll be alot better and comforted!!!! Hope everything goes as planned!! Lots of SS IP: Logged |

All women who are dating and getting to know someone , when confronted with something that seems 'dubious', will go with doubt above hope... it is a defense mechanism. We assume men are dawgs for the most part, in the dating scene, and are completely relieved to find one who isn't.. then if there is 'evidence' to the contrary ( even if it is well -intentioned warning, that has no merit on your character) then while reserving some of our burgeoning feelings on the inside, we suspend the current love-transaction until we get more details. This goes to the category of "oh, so sad, we could've been good , if only' and then we move on. It is up to you to clarify. If you like her, that is. But please, defend yourself. You would feel awful if misrepresented. You know who you are, so keep it to the point. You don't have to justify everything based upon someone's observations, which are one sided..... and, as you said, she's done the same. If you were married and doing that, that's different, but you are a free agent.. so you were all over someone at a table.. oh no! You'd think you were a single man or something! I mean really, put in in perspective. She just wants to know if you are worth investing in. Show her that you are.Years ago, when dating someone, who I had a very special connection with, he mentioned my name to a person who knew me through passing, in highschool.... *I had large breasts ( where did they go?) and as you have witnesed, I am open with things. I was actually still a virgin back then though, and didn't 'go there' yet, because I am open about things, and different than others, some people saw the face value and deemed me ; 'a **** ' *Oh, she's pretty, she will talk to guys, and she flirts.. she must be sleeping with everyone' you know, that highschool thing... Anyway, so this guy was upset, and confronted me on it. What did I do? Disparaged the naysayers.. and I was honest. I said.. so, in the few weeks you've known me, all the things we've shared and talked about, you are willing to just believe someone you don't even know, who didn't even know me,,,the person's character in question... and I am supposed to be okay with that? I recognized how he felt... I understood that, but at the same time, I was hurt that he'd even think based upon what he knew about me, that it could be reduced to rumours. We worked through it. Good luck. Bottom line, clarify, be honest, defend, assure and move on.

Thanks ladies for the advice. I'll find out in a few hours exactly what her thoughts are. If she wants to run an extensive investigation, fine. Everyone has skeletons in the closet, but if she decides to make an issue of it, I'm out! (Don't you just love people at work who have nothing better to do than create problems where there aren't any?) I have zero tolerance for crap like that.IP: Logged |

Thanks Pix! You're a sweetheart in the deepest sense. I get into these type of affairs, and my cauldron starts boiling way out of control inside. It's something I cannot control which leads me to my old friend sadness. One good thing is I've been learning new songs on guitar, and actually singing while playing. One I've learned today is 'Dock of the Bay' by Otis Redding, a real salve on the heart. WARNING: I've started drinking because it's my weekend.IP: Logged |

ooooooooh! Tonight it was all about the chitlins, though normally, friday's are all about me... ( and the drinking) but alas, I cannot blame alcohol for anything, as tonight I am sober enough to edit my fast finger moves. *anyone who talks with me on messenger knows I am stubborn about certain letters being in the wrong place .. I am a fixed sign, you know!Tomorrow I shall join you in the spirit imbibing. Tonight, I am just there in spirit. But please, let me indulge you and say "CHEERS!!!" "SLAINTE!!!" *clink* (with my water goblet) *edit* sweetheart in the deepest sense? Oh, I am touched! *in the deepest sense* IP: Logged |

Well pixie, instead of 'clinking', I'll 'clunk' a shiny piece of aluminum containing beer! This is unusual...while standing outside smoking, it started raining outside, with no lightning. How fitting for my present situation, like the song from Tears For Fears: "Something happens and I'm head over heels".

OK. Seems you're more in tune with what I'm listening to, and weirdly, what I'm thinking...what's your rising? The scorp I was seeing is the epitomy of Sag. (Her rising.) I'm listening to the Rolling Stones right now...let's experiment.IP: Logged |

Well, you'd best get some sleep. Not 'Painted Black', (though I remember liking it at 9 years old.) I was listening to 'Exile On Main Street'. It's striking a chord in me like Led Zep IV did when I was younger. Cool. Poetry. I will sign off. Thank you very much for being in the right place in the right time pixie! I'm putting headphones on now.IP: Logged |
