Retrograde Saturn in the 1st House

Retrograde Saturn in the 1st House shows that the individual, in the past, did not develop a flexible personality, was set in his(/her) ways, self-opinionated and, according to the sign, had an ego problem. The responsibility of developing that ego was neglected, or the personality was developed along negative lines. It also indicates that the individual avoided the development of talents which were part of his(/her) character and personality.

The lesson to be learned, with retrograde Saturn in the 1st House, is the proper development of personality in such a way that the individual receives the respect of others. It tells that the individual should establish proper values, goals and directions in life. The tendency to be too somber, too serious, too contemplative, should be balanced with a good sense of humor and a flexibility in adjusting to the diversified situations and experiences that are encountered in life.

Found by typing, "Saturn retrograde 1st," in the Google Print search bar.

K,

How about just the Jupiter in Leo in the 8th? It rules my ascendent, and I'm worried about what this Saturn in Leo is going to do.

For MoonDuchess:

Retrograde Saturn in the 12th House:

This location of Saturn, in its retrograde condition, centers around Karma and the, "inner person." It clearly indicates that the individual, in past lifetimes, ignored opportunities to work off Karma and to develop herself spiritually. It made for the type of person who kept too much to herself and did not see herself in relationship to the world. Experiences garnered by a person's projection into the activities of service to humanity, in general, offer a lawful channel through which karma can be mitigated. The retrograde Saturn in the 12th house shows that this was not the case; it infers that the person was too conservative and tended to seclude himself from the problems of the world.

The Zodiacal sign in which the retrograde Saturn is posited shows that those particular Zodiacal qualities were ignored or misused. Each individual has the obligation, through eons of reincarnations, to develop and manifest the highest qualities of each sign, and thus the retrograde Saturn in the 12th house will always indicate that the native of the chart failed to develop the particular qualities of the sign on the cusp of the 12th house.

The native of the chart also repressed soul development and soul qualities.

The lesson of retrograde Saturn in the 12th house demands full participation with mundane affairs in some humanitarian efforts. It requires attention to spiritual development and the manifestation of the "inner" or soul qualities.

Those who neglect the lesson of retrograde Saturn in the 12th house could easily be reliving past experiences and, unless the lesson is learned now, will relive this lifetime again.

DayDreamer,

Retrograde Jupiter in the 4th House

Retrograde Jupiter in the 4th house stresses that, in the past, the development of the "I" concept was accomplished along negative lines. The individual lacked compassion, generosity, sociability, and broad-mindedness. In the home environment, the individual had to be the absolute ruler with absolute power. There was no room for differences of opinion or consideration of others' needs or wants insofar as this individual was concerned in the past. Although disliking restraint herself, she imposed restraints, limitations and discipline on others under her within the home circle.

Since the 4th house represents not only the physical home structure, but also the structure through which the soul and spirit function in the individual, this framework of being was so constructed that the individual was rather obnoxious to live with and/or associate with.

The lesson to be learned with retrograde Jupiter in the 4th house is a firm consideration for others who fall within the realm of her authority and anyone who enters her presence.

(I am changing the gender specifications from the original. I hope I got your gender correct, and I apologize if I didn't.)

This retrograde sounds very much like my dad.

DayDreamer,

Wow.

Retrograde Pluto in the 6th house

This shows you lacked a rapport with the public, mainly because you held your fellow man in contempt. There was little effort on your part to relate to the needs of society. You neglected service. You were negligent with your own health. You were unpopular with your coworkers and with those who worked under you, for you were wilful, stubborn, and determined.

The healing quality was also present, in past lifetimes, but you misused it, usually for personal gain, material security, rather than for health service to others. You could have easily been a sadistic physician.

A negative Mars to a retrograde Pluto could indicate a warlike nature and the possibility of having been a military leader. As a military leader, in the past, you inflicted cruelty and the physical suffering on those you defeated.

The lesson of retrograde Pluto in the 6th house is unselfish service to others, without hope for reward, the development of group awareness, the observance of health standards, and the use of healing powers administered to others freely, without remuneration.

DrBombay,

Retrograde Neptune in the 3rd House

This indicates there was a lack of spiritual rapport between the individual and his/her relatives. Here the individual did not understand his brothers and sisters and other relatives nor did s/he try to be of any assistance, in guiding them in coping with daily life experiences. Here the deceit would be represented as false communication methods. For example, this person would be unreliable in the manner in which s/he would relate any incident; s/he would also have been the type of student who would cheat on exams; have a superficial memory in knowledge learned, but not understood. S/He could easily have been the type of person who presents a front of being knowledgeable, but the foundation of this knowledge would lack strength and security.

The lesson of retrograde Neptune in the 3rd house is to develop spirituality, compassion and understanding. Through this, the person would be of great service to his/her siblings and relatives. S/He must gain true knowledge, with understanding, and develop the proper means of communicating this in its essence. There can be no superficiality.

PlanetSoul,

Astrology and Reincarnation by Donald H. Yott

Retrograde Mercury in the 12th house

Primarily, retrograde Mercury in the 12th house shows that the individual did not work out any of his karma in a past life-time. It tells that the subconscious soul qualities were neglected and not demonstrated in the person's journey through life. Impulsive speech, rash actions, false discrimination developed many resentments and secret enemies. Being opposite the 6th house, the native refused to accept the concept of service to others, and thus retarded his/her own spiritual development.

Here, the retrograde Mercury's lesson is that the outer should reflect the inner, that the soul qualities must be developed and demonstrated in service to others. Self-awareness should be developed and coupled with group-awareness as an over-all direction in life. Again, a sense of discretion should be developed where speech and action are involved in relations with others. Since Mercury is always involved with discrimination and judgments, anyone with a retrograde Mercury in the 12th house must curb the tendency to judge too quickly and to evaluate others. Much attention should be placed on being aware of karmic debts and working these out in the everyday facets of living.

PlanetSoul,

Retrograde Jupiter in the 8th house

This would imply that, in some past incarnation, the individual was involved in negative metaphysical activities, such as witchcraft (in its lower octave) or Satanism, or he could easily have been a denier of metaphysical truth and teachings. This could have been the unreasonable, orthodox religionist who entertained no room for beliefs that were not consistent with his/her own.

It shows, also, that whatever the individual ended, in the past, whether it was a job, a friendship, or a project, s/he did it with a degree of poor judgment or poor taste. S/He was his/her own worst enemy in the manner in which he finalized anything.

There was a definite fear of the unknown and death, in particular. Again, the dominance and/or the misuse of authority was involved in handling other people's money. Certain signs on the cusp of the 8th house would very easily indicate past lifetimes of embezzlement, absconding with public funds, misusing money in general.

The lesson to be learned with retrograde Jupiter in the 8th house: A sincere search for Truth, coupled with a sense of discrimination as to what is real truth, what groups teach and perpetuate truth, so that the individual would not become involved in negative study groups; to end all things with dignity and poise and good taste; to handle affairs of others in such a manner that there would be an image of confidence and trust; in the proper search for truth, to discover the reality of death as a beginning and not an ending.

Whoa thanks AG Wish both retrogrades sounded a bit more peachy-keen. These are talking about a past life right? Does your father have Jupiter in the 4th house? And thanks for making it gender specific.

I should check to see if it's the same person that she was using.

Yeah, retrogrades do NOT look like fun things to have. I've been so thankful to only have one.

I'm amazed by the service to others theme, its always coming up in my chart. I have the North Node in Virgo as well as Saturn, major sources of tension with my Sag stellium. My passion in life is the arts, but I'll have to find a way to integrate that with being of service I guess.

As for the dark arts, I read into that when I was younger mostly out of curiosity. I wanted to know what exactly is Satanism? Today I consider myself an ecceltic witch, I 've never gone into black magick other than read about it. I've come into my own conclusion that Satan doesn't exist, but was made up to control people by fear. However, I do believe in negative energy.

Once again, thanks my Cappy friend

Not so fast. There are bonuses to having retrograde planets.

When that particular retrograde planet in your natal chart goes into retrograde again, it doesn't cause you near the amount of chaos it causes others.

For instance, I will probably skate through this mercury retrograde unscathed.

I only have to dodge the other people who can't get their acts together.

Venus Scorpio rx~ This is a very difficult placement for retrograde venus as the scorpio drive keeps pushing the individual past his own contentment. He never feels fulfilled, but rather that all he is seeking is just around the next corner or buried in the next well in his mind.

that withholds so much truth, it's a bit scary. thats the one thing that's ive consistently noticed through out life...and one of the main things that drives me insane...

quote:
"Venus 1st house Rx"

This individual needs much attention and yet never quite feels fulfilled. He is preoccupied with how he appears to others. There is much egocentricity as feelings of self-love run much higher on the conscious than on the unconscious level. Underneathe his constant seeking for more attention he has much ambivalence about himself. Though he thinks of himself as a creature of love, he tends not to understand just how much love to give out to others. He either gives too much or not enough. In general the amount of love he experiences in either giving or receiving is inappropriate to the situation.

quote:
He likes others to let him live his own life, yet he can become overly possessive of others for fear of being left alone.

quote:
He is not necessarily a great giver of love , but he can absorb much love from others. He needs this for his self confidence.

blah, its so difficult to have venus rx in scorpio 1st house...it like kills me. but hey, everyones got something to work on i guess...

thanks so much
