Small talk is one thing I have never mastered! It just feels so artificial and kind of like a waste of time a bit. And like you Loggerhead, people I am close to think I am really outspoken...(possibly talk too much) and witty!

Stephen Arroyo (ibid. pp.115-116) describes the condition of too little Earth as:

"Those having too little emphasis on the Earth element are not naturally attuned to the physical world, the physical body, or to the limitations and requirements of survival in the material plane. They can therefore be "spaced out," as they are not grounded in the here and now realization of their dependence on material things such as food, money, shelter, and other practical considerations. Such a person is often able to ignore the requirements of surviving in the material world and tends to fight "growing up" and accommodating himself to harsh necessities until he is forced to do so by the impinging demands of the reality he’d prefer to ignore. This lack of contact with the material world and with the physical dimension of reality can lead to the person feeling totally out of place in this world, with no grounding region is to provide him was support and solidity in his efforts to express himself. w/ the sag, the only problem I have w/ her she enjoys telling other ppl when theyre wrong but hates it to be reversed. She's a bit self righteous-it kinda gets annoying, plus we both have hot tempers. She makes very big errors in judgement especially w/ men. Other than that, she's easy to get along with and very friendly.
But not all my sag friends are like that (and I know quite a few)

yeah , u are very correct about sags too .
actually , i got this confirmed from my sag friends themselves .
when they get into an argument , thier first instinct is to win it anyhow even if the topic gets diverted or the arguments being given are nonsensical .
secondly, if this has been understood that the other person is also putting logical arguments and they understand that they wont be able to win , they 'll simply try to put an end adruptly while putting the blame on u . thats thier very simple way .
actaully this happened to me here at this forum only , then i checked it with my sag friends ( wellllll , they were honest enough to accept it , thier straightfrwardness , that makes them likeable!) in simple words , thats thier selfrighteousness .
any guesses , if selfrighteousness is associted with anyother sign too , in the way it is with sags ?

In actuality, I didn't even intend to get read, she really doesn't have a practicing bussiness license...so I should really call her a clairvoyant. I met her through my sag friend oddly enough. She works @ the mall selling lotion. She says that the reason she charges ( only 20 U.S. dollars) is because she has to support a child on the way. I told her I didnt have any money (I was FLAT broke last June)so I couldn't read, but she insisted I borrowed money from somebody,as if she REALLY wanted to tell me something. So she made a deal w/ me; she'd give me the reading but would leave some stuff out and I'd have to come back w/ 10 dollars for the rest of the reading. So she kept asking me wether I had a boyfriend (I said no), a man in my life (I said, "not really"), or if there was somebody I was interested in(I finally said yes) and thats how we got into scorpio...that he's improtant,and that its real. but you could say I knew that arrgh, Im crazy about him

(ok I've been looking all day for somewhere to vent that LOL. It felt good.)

On the intelligence topic, I noticed that I can't stand people thinking I'm stupid lol. I think it's really due to my Gem rising and how I want to be perceived. I strive to become as educated as possible and know my "stuff" in the field that I work in, above and beyond most people. It works well in gaining respect and I even use intelligence as my weapon if it seems like someone is trying to take advantage of me in some way. To me, I feel balanaced out with my Earth, Water, and Fire signs. But since I have a lack of air, I feel insecure in my intelligence (not that I'm actually stupid, I'm just not as confident) so I usually go looking for information to make sure I don't look stupid in the end and am not wrong in any way. I can't stand looking stupid. That's an insecurity that stems from lack of air I think. Yet, when I do feel like I've conquered my sense of unknowing, I feel more confident than ever.
