Okay, I know this topic is frequent around here, especially because of the karmic implications of nodes and synastry- everyone wants to know if there's a karmic link between themselves and their love. And I guess that makes me just another schmuk grasping around for proof that I'm meant to be with someone... but I'm not looking for proof (I know we're karmically linked) - I just want to share some aspects I found and see if there are others with the same ones! and what your experience/feelings have been with them. OK?!

Here goes; There's me and there's Mr. Leo.

My NNode conj his Mars in Cancer.
His SNode conj *exactly* my Venus in Aqua.
My SNode conj his MC in Cap.
His SNode trines my Uranus/MC.
My nodes square his Moon, Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto in Libra.

My take is: I'm the NNode trying to PULL him forward in consciousness, to a higher place that my soul knows he can reach. His SNode makes my Venus feel oh so comfortable- but is he pulling me back to a place I should me moving on from? Do I NEED to move on from him to learn some kind of Nodal lesson? Is this relationship about me pulling him forward, and does it not have a redeeming feature for me?

This is a lot of questions, but thank you thank you, anyone who can relate or share or give advice!

I have to say that my nodes and vertex appear to be insanely sensitive to people, events and transits. In all my life's tragedies (miscarriage, mom's death, child's illness etc.) my north node or my vertex was tightly conjunct by a transiting personal planet.

In relationships, I am currently being drawn to someone whose north and south nodes are almost identical to mine. This is compounded by a vertex/ascendant conjunction on both sides.

For me these connections did not come as a WOW first meeting, I faint. He ravages me good. We ride off into the green plains and sunset. On the contrary.

Our nodes being almost identical (and that vertex ascendant dual connection) has been an odd thing that has intensified during the course of several years. It also has brought an escalating dissolution of my boundaries. I can feel this person when they are not in the room. I can feel him thinking about me. If he travels out of town, I know without him telling me. It's an odd on my screen kind of thing.

I cannot speak for him. Since we are both spoken for I am not certain how this would have played out in another venue. What I feel most is incredibly protected by him and an unusual intense need to protect him. From what I do not know (?) For example, he was once relaying a story about a colleague being rude to him on the phone. And while he was saying it jokingly it was quite obvious that it bothered him. My normal reaction would be to pooh pooh that. In my head though, I was musing, "How dare that guy. I oughtta kick his arse." LOL

I do think that South Nodes get a bad rap. But I think they can bring you back to an earlier stage. I'm not sure if that is a doomsday recipe. I'm not sure if that is necessarily always a negative thing if you are able to work through the said issue.

Incidentally, my father-in-law is also a Gemini, and he always struck me as a nice, sociable, easy-going kind of guy, and someone who is more cerebral than emotional. But lately I have come to realize that he is attached to his wife of many many years very fiercely indeed! It's really beautiful to see, though in this case tinged with sadness as she is quite ill now.

Excuse me for digressing. (Slapping my fingertips while typing.)

I agree on the South Nodes. Like everything challenging, when you work through it, there is a reward. Just like squares and oppositions, I suppose.
